I recently updatd my iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS version from 26 to 27.0.1 about a week ago and since then, the battery drains crazily. Most times, the phone goes off at about 50% or less.

Prior the update, my battery lasts quite very long and I do not need to be carrying power bank about but that has not been the case ever since the update.

Has anyone recently updated to the current iOS version and are you experiencing what I am experiencing?

Modes pleas🙏

Same thing happened to my iPhone 12 after updating to 26.0
Battery Health that was at 97% suddenly dropped and the battery no longer lasts.

I think most of these phones are refurbished.

By now you should all know apple makes updates to deliberately downgrade your phones hardware so you can get a newer version iphone

Since I bought the phone, I have done upgrades more than four times. This is the only time I am experiencing this.

Omo
These days updating iphone is risky

I don't know why they're making things hard

I am regretting updating my phone this time

Can I downgrade back to iOS 26

I updated Iphones 14 pro max, 12 pro max, and 11 to IOS 27.0.1 and have not noticed any difference in the battery lives of these devices.

A phone that switches off around 50 percent is usually the percentage lying, not just one heavy app. After a big update I give it two or three normal days, because the phone is reindexing and the first days look worse than real use. Then I open Battery and check Battery Health. If the maximum capacity is still high and it does not ask for service, I write down which apps I open every day for a week before I pay for a new battery or a new phone. If it still dies near 50 percent after that, the cell itself is the problem and going back to an older iOS will not fix it. Bossman's note that three other phones were fine on the same update suggests this may be your unit, not every 13 Pro Max.
