Hi everyone; Has anyone gotten a response earlier than 10 weeks ? I can see the timeline for these two responses and it’s like 10 weeks. |

Sorry about the outcome of the application guys. These don't sound like core rejection reasons, they sound more like an excuse not to give the visa. It doesn't really make sense. Thank you soo much for sharing updates. Please if anyone who has helpful info on next steps (appealing or reapplication) can also share with them. |

So sorry about your decision. I have noticed a pattern, if you are going through the point system, it’s better you write the goethe A1 than IELTS or TOEFL on the basis of language. I think they prefer your German integration to English. Then for the proof of employment, go with anything related to the work, salary, payslip, your duties, reference, anything you can think of |

Most people don’t know when they are on the point system or the skilled worker system, that’s why XoDidi: |

XoDidi:I don't think this is the case here please. You can't even join the queue if you don't qualify... I think that's the first stage before you start your application... I think everyone uses points. So, I don't understand the whole "point based" you guys are talking about here. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 3:29pm On Oct 25 |
That’s where most people get it wrong, ask chat gpt the two pathways of opportunity card and you’ll understand what the point system we are talking about.. Not everyone is accessed on the point system, if your degree and university is fully recognized either by checking the Anabin website or doing a ZAB evaluation, then you’re accessed using the skilled worker method which requires only your university degree, otherwise you’ll be accessed using the point based system which checks every other thing including employment, language, etc Atleast this is the whole method of the opportunity card on the German website unless Nigeria is doing a different thing Laryfrosh: |
Larry, I remember you went for interview in September, you didn’t know anything about point based system and skilled worker system? Which route did you register as? If you qualify as a skilled worker, you don’t need to prove language or work experience, just your degree is enough. but point system, you have a lot to prove ] not everyone uses points, personaly i don’t because my degree is fully recognized so i qualify as a skilled worker |

I qualify as a skilled worker... I think that's why I know little or nothing about the point based system... |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Phraences: 10:21am On Oct 26 |

Skilled worker is just the best and easiest route to be honest though it is best to learn the language to better integrate. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Phraences: 10:29am On Oct 26*. Modified: 12:06pm On Oct 26 |
jakjohnny:That No 4 is valid. If you are on a one year waiting list use the time to study the language. Even if your visa application is rejected a new language on your CV is an advantage. So sorry for the rejection. This can be so painful. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 10:29am On Oct 26 |
We’re not sure yet if the rejection was because they used the point based system for them, I wish they would help us understand Phraences: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Phraences: 10:41am On Oct 26 |
Joybena:I think when you are applying on the website there is a place to select whether you are applying based on points or skilled worker program. I recall seeing something like that |

Phraences:Actually When you start the application process The very beginning they ask a bunch of questions And depending on how you answer them you’ll fall into a category. Even right now you can check your account to see which category you’re under. |

Joybena:Learning the language shows preparation but is not necessarily a factor. Lots of people have gotten it without it In my opinion, I think it's a cumulative. The moment there's a doubt, any other comma that creates another doubt ultimately leads to a rejection. The first room for doubt in what I read was the lack of Job search efforts - Remember, this is a job seeker visa afterall which should be the main priority, so this needed to have been shown, detailed and documented or the lackof justified in the motivation document or at the interview. The second thing against him was the no work experience (or the lack of justification in whatever work experience was chosen), again discrediting the job seeking thing. Maybe the weak academic result is them saying those results dont have a competitive chance in their labour maket. But I would also like to know how he did in the test too. Then the lack of language prep is just the final blow. |

tecchy:Hello tecchy, have you received any update since your appointment? I remember you having the appointment some month back |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by jakjohnny: 10:10am On Oct 27 |
Yes it's fully recognized, both the course and University, I studied Elect/Elect Engineering in the University of Ilorin. Based on ChatGTP response, they had added Proof of Job search on their checklist on their portal, which I didn't see on the checklist they gave me for the appointment, which was a major concern. Also, I should have gone with my employment letters to show my proof of experience. I think they have done a little tweak to the process, so everyone should take note, for those who are preparing for their interview. Joybena: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by jakjohnny: 10:14am On Oct 27 |
The test was relatively simple, I guess that's why they didn't attach the result so as to solidify their claims. I had already applied to countless jobs before that time. Also I was already familiar with the basics of the Language because of Duolingo, I was already on 14 in Duolingo. Tifay: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Laryfrosh: 10:54am On Oct 27 |
jakjohnny:I don't think there's anything like Proof of Job search on the checklist... At least not on the checklist on my own portal after preliminary review/before appointment... |

Please, if anybody has successfully challenged their visa decisions or they are currently on the process, they can please share the process with them, so, they can know how to proceed from here. Thank you. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Onuchijioke: 3:58pm On Oct 27 |
Wahala dey. The visa interview should be a way to establish identity. The visa should be given as long as you have the qualification and means of support. I dont understand again. jakjohnny: |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Tifay: 4:08pm On Oct 27 |
jakjohnny:Oh sorry. I guess the issue may have been how it was documented or how you explained it to your interviewer seeing as you didnt go with any of those documents. Just read your post about your interview, maybe she found you unconvincing in many regards. Depending on how strong you feel, you may want to appeal the decision |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Onuchijioke: 4:12pm On Oct 27 |
The visa is also given for futher training for the recognition of foreign degree in germany.where if you have the basic qualification you receive the visa where you are expected to train more if you cant get a job so that you can be able to be qualified to get a job. Tifay: |

Onuchijioke:This is completely false, please dont misinform people. The Visa is strictly and plainly a Job seeker Visa. If you imply or suggest something like this in your interview, they may be within their right to reject you |

Onuchijioke:Even in your screenshot, Successful applicant was put there - What does successful mean? I remember mentioning it earlier in the thread that words should be used explicitly and with their literal meaning and Larryfrosh was coming after me that I was doing too much. It's because of things like this where people misinterpret Anyway, to translate your screenshot. It simply means while you are in the country searching for job having sucessfully gotten the Visa, you can take part in trainings to boost your job chances, you can also work part-time even. pending when you get an actual job you came for |
