Hello, please i need help with confirming an item, the agent told me to submit a hand written letter of intoduction and its very surprising for me that i have to handwrite, although i dont want them to say its because i didnt write thats why my visa was not approved. ANyone with pointers would really help
That's was the requirement at some point, not sure they still ask to do it but it's nothing unusual
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by toluFernandez: 3:25pm On Jun 26

Good morning all. Please I applied for visit visa for my family. Husband, wife and 5years old daughter. I just got an email to submit physical documents. I am a bit confused as to which document would require legalization or if it applies to a visit visa. Please help.

This is the part of the email that states it.

Physical Documents to Be Submitted

Once you have confirmed that all required documents have been uploaded electronically, please prepare a package containing ONLY the following physical documents:

There is no need to submit your physical passport at this stage. Should your passport be required for visa issuance, you will receive an email with instructions to submit or courier your passport to the Consulate;

Nigerian documents requiring legalization by the Consulate, if applicable to your visa category;
A printed copy of your RER (Recibo de Entrega de Requerimento);
A prepaid return envelope; and
A printed copy of this authorization message.

Please note: Any additional physical documentation included in packages submitted from 14 July 2026 onwards, other than the documents specified above, will not be considered in the assessment of the visa application.

I don't think you need to legalize anything, unless they ask you to do so. If I were you though, I would visit the consulate myself and make clarifications because email might be slow.

Happy weekend everyone

Please I need advice on my Brazil visa application

I’ve submitted my application both on the SCI platform and eConsular since 14th of October and it’s been over two weeks now but still no email or update from them.

I’ve emailed them for follow up twice, no response to the two emails

So, I’m thinking of carrying out the below steps by next week

Option A

1. Call their number on Tuesday (by then it will be three weeks since I’ve submitted)
2. If the calling fails to yield any good result, then I send my documents with a courier (with return address) to the Consulate on Thursday

I’ve been reading through this thread (and on other platforms like Reddit) and I’ve seen cases where applicants sent their documents even though they haven’t been asked to send yet and I’ve seen mixed results (mostly positive) from that.

Option B
* Delete the eConsular submission and create a new one (I read one person’s post on this thread that did that and they got the request for physical document submission the next day)

Option C
* Continue waiting…. till when would one have to wait? 🤔

Kindly provide any guidance you can on these, thank you

PS: I applied for Brazil digital nomad visa (since I qualify and I confirmed from the Consulate before starting the application.)

I know some people on this thread would advise to just get tourist visa and apply from inside Brazil, but I didn’t have that knowledge before hand and it’s already too late now to start a new tourist visa application.

Also, because of my lifestyle and work arrangements, I may be unable to convincingly prove ties to my home country which is usually one of the strong requirements for a tourist visa application.
