#1 point seems u reasonable with the current events unless they want subsidy back. They also want to renegotiate m8nimum wage after all these are done? Maybe, they want to go back to the days states had backlogs of salaries they were not paying.
so what are you saying in essence, my friend grow up

Negotiations are part of democratic society...Moreso, this is the time to negotiate good renumeration for the civil servants. I support this move as long as it's not political.

The minimum wage was negotiated when fuel was around N800 per liter..now fuel is about 1400 that's about 80% Increase in fuel price ..that automatically renders the minimum wage useless...so it's either they increase minimum wage or return fuel price to what it was

so if the fuel price falls back to 800 per litrs according to your analysis will the minimum wage return back to it status quo?

In 2026, someone still believes trillions of naira were saved from petrol subsidy removal. The same subsidy that was financed with loans which the government is still servicing.

The higher they increased the minimum wage in naira, the higher price of petrol and the lesser quantity it buys.

This is why Nigerians won't take NLC seriously. Almost everything on these demands is for public sector workers. What of the self care employed and those in informal sector who account for d vast majority of workers? Reducing fuel price is out of d hands of d FG, d PIB has deregulated d sector. This is not our fight, it's your fight cos we stand to gain nothing
The government can allow the naira appreciates to it's real value which was around ₦1,100/$ in June this year.

So what prompted the increase from 240 to 800 initially? Was it minimum wage increase?

I don't subscribe to these incessant increment in kinimum wage as is being done here.
Why not demand a better economy.

How many Nigerians are civil servants that truly get to benefit from any increment?

Government can increase minimum wage today and weaken the economy tomorrow such that the increment becomes useless.

Is that not what is happening to the last increment? The current 70k is even more useless than when it was 30k during Buhari's tenure.
What NLC is doing is about the system that is designed to keep the rat race running.

What are you saying or thinking? The minimum was was agreed at 77k coz fuel was 800 then...now fuel is 1400 and minimum wage remains 77k ... Does that tally? The government should return fuel to the 800 to tally with the minimum wage or increase the minimum wage...for now...it doesn't tally
..it's simple

These Paper Tigers, suddenly woke up in an election year. Everyone knows this is partisan. Better keep your loots ( union dues and subventions) that can never be accounted for, instead of deceiving Nigerians. To me Labour is even worse than the government. Bunch a hypocritical thieves!

Do we have Labour Union in Nigeria?

And Banner Energy limited in Lekki is deducting Pension and Tax from Employee salaries without Remitting. They even go as far as Surcharging their Employee up to N50,000

Even Pencom and LIRS had been notified but they didn't do anything.

If you know you can help us take this via Probono, Signify and we'll give you all the details you need for the Legal Case.

PENCOM isn't doing anything for over 6months now despite giving them all the required documents to make their job easier.
LIRS isn't doing anything for over 1 year now.
Over 1 year the Employee left BANNER ENERGY LTD. and they haven't remitted these statutory deductions.

NIGERIANS know the NLC Well,
- that the President -is always in support of Obedient and
-Is always coming during Political Campaign - every 4- years, thinking we are Fools.
•Mr Ajaero -should just quit as the President of NLC - for he has Polarised a once 🔂 Neutral Labour Organization and Enough is Enough!

He did not . I have been in Labour for donkey years. He just pulled a wool over your eyes. He is worse than the Obasanjo he criticizes. If you want to know Labour well I argue you to attend just one internal election (selections) you will understand better.

When naira crashed to ₦1,800/$ early 2024, can you compare the house rent/shop rent then and now.
