harrykewell:Hello boss, you didn't specify the penalty if for some reason one needs to access the funds before the maturity date since the interest has already been paid upfront. Cos like u are aware MMF is very flexible in this area. You can at any time add/withdraw funds(penalty is on the interest). |

harrykewell:since we don't have access to your income statement because your bank in not a plc. Can you tell us the following? 1- what's you bank main source of earning? Interest earnings or core business earnings? 2- what interest rate averagely does your bank loan to creditors? 3- Has your bank ever issued commercial paper before? If so, when was the last time? 4- I wish I had I access to your loan books but I can't so — what is your bank impairment cost? 5- what securities does your bank invest excessive cash? Is it SDF, OMO, Bank placement, Tbills or state clearly where your bank invest. 6- Lastly, what was your bank revenue and net income for last year? Well, I am obliged to ask these questions because I have my own investors I cater to — I do my due diligence when it comes to stocks and other investments, I take my time to study balance sheets, income statements and other fundamentals. So please do us the honor to explain. |

Beeron:We are a leading inclusive finance institution in Nigeria with an ₦80 Billion balance sheet and a ₦60 Billion Gross Loan Portfolio across a robust network spanning 16 states. Our core earnings come from short-term micro and SME loans, which feature a monthly interest rate structure averaging 3.5%–4.5% for working capital and 4.5%–7.5% for asset loans. While we have no history of issuing commercial paper, our healthy credit quality is proven by a Portfolio at Risk (PAR 30 days) tightly managed at approximately 2%. Rather than investing excess cash in TBills or OMO, we rapidly deploy liquidity back into our high-yielding loan portfolio and local bank placements to power digital products like Jollof+, which captured ₦7.4 Billion in net savings. Our financial strength is backed by reputable domestic and global institutional partners like the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which can be easily verified on Google. I work directly at our Head Office and warmly invite you and your investors to visit us for a physical inspection to conduct your full due diligence . Our Annual report is online for you to download . I have sent you a pm sir |

harrykewell:Your balance sheet and loans portfolio means nothing if I don't get detailed break down and the income statement as I requested to see how things adds up to your bottom line— Revenue, net income, impairment cost etc. I won't let my investors risk their funds in your bank when your core earnings is from your business. Even Unilever with billions of excess cash still park those cash into interest earning securities and I still don't let my investors hold Unilever stock long term due to Nigeria unstable macros and how it affects FMCGS. Secondly, you made mention of you guys deploying liquidity into bank placement to power your jollof+ plan — how is that different from the regular MMF these guys do here, I doubt if your bank will always get better overnight rate than some of these big MMF fund managers. Even without going further I already deduced what I suspected from your response. |

Beeron:Thank you for the response. I completely understand and appreciate your perspective as a finance professional. Because of that background, I am sure you will agree with me that some infos are best not broadcasted on a public forum like this. Providing a detailed teaser package is absolutely not a problem, but it belongs in a secure, professional setting. I have sent you a private message so we can transition this to a call or where we can share the necessary documents and have a proper, data-backed discussion. Looking forward to connecting with you. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by harrykewell: 7:48pm On Oct 27 |
nickae:es, there is a penalty on the interest already earned if you liquidate before the agreed maturity date |
| Re: Mutual Funds by nickae: 8:11pm On Oct 27 |
harrykewell:But you said the interest is paid upfront; does it mean I can't withdraw only the interest and leave the capital? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Iamblessed8888: 10:08pm On Oct 27 |
harrykewell:Can you write this again but without AI this time? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by harrykewell: 12:36pm On Oct 28 |
nickae:Yes, you can absolutely withdraw just the interest. In fact, your interest is paid upfront and is available for immediate withdrawal. However, please note that if you decide to touch the capital before the maturity date, a penalty equal to 35% of the interest amount will be deducted from your principal |

OMO is now available on Myinvestar app, powered by First Ally Asset Management. Minimum starting capital: 10k Investment category: Low Risk. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Lesgupnigeria(m): 5:13pm On Oct 28 |
You may need to separate the two issues: return and liquidity. A fund can declare 12% p.a. but that is not the same as guaranteeing quarterly cash payment. Check the prospectus for distribution frequency, early redemption terms, fees and whether the 12% is fixed or just past performance. |

emmasoft:What is OMO ? |
| Re: Mutual Funds by nickae: 10:04am On Oct 29 |
Emoreni:Open Market Operations (OMO) bills are short-term, low-risk debt instruments issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to manage liquidity and control inflation |
| Re: Mutual Funds by AncestralPowers: 10:58am On Oct 29 |
Thanks for sharing this information... But since OMO went public, the rates had gone down drastically 👎 MMF is almost better.. In fact, the profits of any investment or business that has already gone public is often minimal.. No wonder wealthy people dey hide success codes from the poor massess, after all, the poor masseses rewards are in heaven.. God why...? emmasoft: |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 12:21pm On Oct 29 |
AncestralPowers:Yes, OMO rates, like those of most debt instruments, are strongly influenced by MPR. The decline in rates is largely attributable to the reduction in the MPR. Another advantage is that the returns are paid upfront. Although OMO is a good, low-risk investment option, I will personally always favour MMFs. MMFs' flexibility and liquidity make them my preferred choice, regardless of prevailing rates. Ultimately, the choice depends on your investment objectives, liquidity needs and how long you can afford to lock away your funds. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by Christie171(f): 7:15am |
Hello sir, my question is, does MMF give daily interest like O wealth from Opay or the interest drops at month end? Like for example, I withdrew from Stanbic yesterday does it mean I wouldn't be getting any interest for the month that ended today? emmasoft: |
| Re: Mutual Funds by emmasoft(m): 9:45am |
Christie171:For MMF, you earn every day, and it accrues. At the end of the quarter, the accrued interest is reinvested or paid out, depending on the option you choose. However, with Stanbic, reinvestment happens at the end of the month. Please note that your interest is not determined by your withdrawal or how many times it's made. Interest is always earned on the current balance for each day. |
