lbrichman2:So why are you even insisting he answers you as if though this generation have anything on them on APOTY. So here it is, They produced 5 APOTYs From 1993 to 2000, Nigeria absolutely dominated the African footballer of the year top 10 placements, racking up an incredible 28 total finish. This is more than triple the amount of any other country during that era. This shows exactly how dominant the super eagles of that era was. Pls do try compare this numbers to this our current generation numbers, you will see how ridiculous it will appear. Just 3 times, just Osimhen and Lookman. But there was a year Nigeria occupied 7 out of 10 possible spot of the APOTY top 10, not even Morocco's WC semi finals could give them that. |

I want to wait until Osimhen wins an AFCON and performs well at a World Cup (God willing) before doing an objective comparison with the two. All I will say for now is Yekini na baba which Victor himself agrees with but Osimhen isn't far off. darkelf: |

They don't have any reason to go 2nil down in Lagos for that matter! This team has only lost to the hosts in the last two editions. If we had hosted the last two AFCONs we would have surely won one! GMBOFASIA: |

This shows how myopic you are! Did you watch the game? You want Udinese to sell him yet you are one of those crying day and night that we don't have players in top teams. People like this are surely Obidients! lol! They think upside down! darkelf: |

darkelf:I said exactly this on X last week He may not be at fault for all the goals, but Udinese are not winning and when teams don't win, they look for a scapegoat. He's an easy one |

Goke7:Kanu debuted in 1995 and won APOTY in 1996 and 1999. Were you trying to imply he did not win it as a super eagles player but as an U17 player? |

darkelf:Did u watch the game? Because he conceded 4 goals in one game doesn't make him bad. Were the goals goal keeping errors, that's the question to ask? |
| Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by AndSunGorilla: 8:57pm On Oct 31 |
darkelf:I don't care who's in the GK post for us tbh but Nwabali didn't cover himself in glory in the GB game too. He laid and hatched 3 eggs, as if say na fowl. |

AndSunGorilla:Dude stop responding to people with agenda. These kind of people are not rational, they are not arguing with you on good faith they are simply pushing an agenda. I just finished watching the highlight and of all the goals he conceded the only goal that he could have done better was the first goal. The rest of the goals were bad defensive organization. No body that knows anything about football will blame the goalkeeper. They are well aware of it they are just pushing an agenda. |
