I did the same thing the op did some weeks ago, but 'oga at the top' did not reply my mail.

Just saying.........

Why can't there be a link where people can do this themselves.
It can be overwhelming for the admin/mod sometimes.

It can be done in such a way that previous post will be linked to the new username (just in case sm1 tries to play foul).
In that case, such came only make do with creating another profile.
