@Faithclin, go to sammobile. com and download a Stock ROM for Ur phone make sure it's EXACTLY the same model I1747 as you said. Most times, the model number is the beginning of the ROM name. Cheers!

Lol have done it since and even flashed custom ROM...its actually 1747M...didn't see the M.that's why its been refusing to. I installed stock, flashed recovery and now I'm using Cynogen.

stan am using a Samsung galaxy s gti9000 . a gift from overseas and it was working perfectly there. I don't seem to have mobile network on it at all. but it works limited with glo and mtn with one or no bar at all in some areas. I have had it flashed and rooted as requested by the engineers buy to no avail. Hi, l am using Samsung galaxy S3 and Samsung galaxy tab2 10.1. I basically use d S3 for messages, make and receive calls and d tab2 for browsing, movie and reading. Both phones android version are 4.0.4 and they are not rooted. Same with s3, ba3 keep draining while charging and pressing it. But can be solved using an Iphone charger. It charges faster and better.

The Grand Duos is bigger than the S3 but not better. If I were you I'll stick with the S3.

like reed sama said...the Galaxy Grand is just bigger... not better in any way...never the less..it's still a good device...and cheaper.... if you're someone that likes Large screens...go for it...or if you're looking for dual sim capabilities..then go for the Galaxy Grand....

Hello house. My S2 (UK used) has the appearance of the international version front and back and the model number is GT-19100. SAMSUNG and not Tmobile is written at the top. But when I turn it off, it shows Tmobile before going off and when I turn it on, it shows 'Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-19100' , then shows 'Tmobile'. It also has a Tmobile application. Please help as I need to know this before I follow the steps on this thread in upgrading the GT-19100 model to JB as it's currently on ICS. Though it has been rooted so I don't know if it came with it out of the box. Thanks

Seems like a hardware issue. I saw an s2 with this issue, nothing fixed it yet. However try flashing one of the latest Jelly Bean ROMs. Might help. Also, if it's very important, try ICS and GB ROM too... Just giving u ideas....

S3 LTE is the branded.. At&t, bells rogers etc. It's usualky 1747 or 1747m. The international version which is best for Nigeria is 19300.buy only this one.

Did you flash something? Like did you flash a new ROM? maybe you might have messed up ur IMEI. Press *#06# and tell me what you find there.

LTE is a faster connection type just like we have GPRS < EDGE < 3G/HSPA < LTE. So basically faster speed, thats why most imes you hear them call it as 4G LTE. So faster speed. Operators suck as Sprint, AT&T and Verizon in the US offer such data speeds. AT&T is said to be the fastest with an 'AVERAGE' of 16.7Mbps download and 7.4Mbps upload speeds. Average speed oh! not fastest. But who for Naija wan give you dat kain speed? I mean truely!

Anyways, bottom-line is LTE is not useful in Nigeria and even if you have dat type of speed, then they now cap ur allowance to 1GB or so. wats the use? Lol. And Always buy and International version phone.

For example,
International S2 (GT-I9100)
International S3 (GT-I9300)
International S4 (GT-I9500)

International Note (GT-N7000)
International Note 2 (GT-N7100)

International Note 3 might likely be GT-N7200. Lol! I'm drifting away!

Anyways, if you come to ask for a problem to ur US variant phone. I might not even mind you. Cheers!
