You will understand better if you are familiar with lekki/ Ajah axis. That is how it's being done here due to the nature of the soil

it won't lift but rather sink. Quite expensive!

But you have no choice anyway if you are building in a water-logged area. That is more reason i will never buy a water-logged land, i am too poor for that expenses.
