@friedfish, your dad must fill his own form. it does not matter if he is accompanying your mum, every non-citizen proposing to visit any country requiring a visa, must fill an application form. thats why when couples are travelling, they each fill a form and then when schedulling appointment, they will use one appointment but include both application form numbers and payment recepit nos for the appointment. So please, get your dad to complete his form, and reschedule the appointment. I don't think you need to pay for a new appointment if you have already paid for both of them. My two cents. 1 Like |

dinawe: Pls make sure you understand their policy regarding preggy women ooh. Arik hostesses can be overzealous at times when they see a preggy woman. 1 Like |

dinawe: How far along will you be then? Arik does not carry pregnant women more than 30 weeks old and they won't accept your fit to fly. They will send you upstairs to be examined so make sure you will be less than 30weeks then I guess the tsunami wiped out the previous tales of arik air |

Yes oh! The arik thing, they have reviewed their policy, it's now 34 weeks. I saw it on their website and i called the office to confirm. You can travel from 30-34 weeks with your fit to fly (doctor's report). You can check it our your self: http://www.arikair.com/health-matters Since it's on their website, you have a strong reason against them if they bounce you. For now, arik is the most affordable and they have a good POE, New york. |

FriedFish: Good day house, i really need your advice. Every applicant is required to fill the DS-160 Application form. Both of them can schedule appointment together. But must have seperate confirmation code. |

uchetobi:I don't think it might take that long. My wife went for her interview on a friday, she was told they needed to confirm her details from WHMC and Dr Rizk. I discussed with a friend the following thursday who advised i should call them to know d status. Fortunately, i called the consular office on friday, exactly a week after her interview and to the lady's surprise she thought my wife had been contatcted to come submit her passport. They immediately contacted my wife to come submit her passport. she submitted on tuesday and by close of business on wednesday, her visa was ready for pick up. Although cases are judged individually, i hope and pray yours is resolved soonest. However like i said earlier, keep calling them. All the best. |

@dinawe, thanks so much for this update. Makes my planning easier too as i plan to travel within 30-34 weeks as well. I am pasting the new policy here for us all to ENZOY! "Expectant mothers are not regarded as PRM. Nevertheless, expectant mothers can be accepted until the end of week 34 on all domestic flights at their own risk. It shall be noted that between week 28 and week 34 of the pregnancy a doctor’s certificate is required. Expectant mothers can be accepted until the end of week 30 on all international flights at their own risk. It shall be noted that between week 28 and week 30 of the pregnancy a doctor’s certificate is required. Exception to this rule on International flights only, Between the end of week 30 and end of week 34 Expectant mothers can still be accepted (with a doctor’s certificate) until the end of week 34, providing that the mother is returning to the country of her origin/residence for which they are in a possession of valid documents at the time of travel." now we can add arik as an option..yaah! |

From the last line in above quote, it sounds to me like 'returning to the country of her origin/residence ...' refers to holders of US passports/residence papers going back home to the US and not someone on Lagos-JFK-Lagos route. Just my opinion. Pls confirm properly to avoid surprises at the last minute. Unless they have changed, they are known to be very strict with preggies. 2 Likes |

It's always been like that, however in reality they turn back 30 wks plus because I think ori777's interpretation is what they mean. Anyways, sounds like you've bought your ticket. I hope it works out for you. Your feedback will be appreciated |

uchetobi: @ uchetobi, Thanks for your response. Please I also need clarification on the passport application form ds11 I discovered that on the passport form precisely no 18 travel plan is required ie. travel date and return date. How do I go about that. Does it mean I have to bring the baby back to USA on the return date or that portion is meant for minors above 16years. Pls I need an urgent response. |

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by Lamisatuati: 9:21am On Jul 19, 2014 |
@angel55 it's ok that your husband is the principle applicant mine was too so wen we went for our interview we ensured that he was the one answering the questions I only answered a question directed to be directly which was what do u do ma'am. Just be sure he adds you to the appointment booking cos they have a list at the embassy from which they check the names at the gate. Please anyone with useful information on good and relatively not expensive hospital in Dallas thanks. 1 Like |

Hello y'all, I salute everyone. How have you been? It feels good to be back. I'm glad to see that we're still keeping the essence of this thread alive. I'm also glad to see that the recent misunderstanding has been resolved and everyone has moved on for good. I would like to humbly address the MIHS mommas who have used or who are currently using MIHS. It has come to my notice that questions on cheap accommodations in MIHS have constantly gone unanswered. People ask these questions because they need urgent answers to them. I would really appreciate it if the MIHS mommas can give the answers that a lot of our people are craving for. A lot of people will be indebted to those who come out with answers to these pressing questions. I look forward to reading from y'all. With love, Fabulousmom. |

[quote author=fabulousmom] I would like to humbly address the MIHS mommas who have used or who are currently using MIHS. It has come to my notice that questions on cheap accommodations in MIHS have constantly gone unanswered. I look forward to reading from y'all. Hello, I may not be able to say much cos I didn't do so much research on hotel reservation before I came. Nonetheless I'm at Extended stay America biltmore. I paid $1178.70 including tax for 30days. But wen I went to renew for another 60days the lady at the front desk gave me a number to call and said that would be cheaper if I book the 60days through the phone number (1800-398-7829) I did and got a better deal which I decided to go ahead with, but for you to be eligible for the deal, the reservation have to be minimum of 60days. So I paid $1669.54 for 60days including tax. I learnt their rent might increase from October to $41 per night. I really don't know, so you could call that number for any inquiries, I think they manage all extended stay apartments. |
