Bbm need to release the final stable version or what you think.

BBM on windows is trash. Except ppl enjoys d delay b4 it shows up n other flaws.

The absence of Glance on the 730 put me off even though it was my preferred choice . . .830 is the route I will take

maybe they r OK with it d way it is. It has a long start up tym. Compare all ur apps start up tym with BBM start up tym and see for urself. Hw can we be chatting with sm1 and when we exist d app to come on again takes tym, kill d chat. Well tats to me sha.

Do I have to update to cyan before I can get the best out of my BBM? The app keeps messing up. Couldn't update cause I'm not close to a wifi and Connectify wont work on my Window 7 pc. I dont know if you have a good alternative. Thanks.

It lagged so much on my device that I had to delete it.
If it's any better now I might try again.

That isn't an option. Updates can only be done through WiFi.

maybe I will still create a thread on why BBM on window is still in development.

it is easier to move BBM source code to android and ios cos BBM make use of Java while android make use of Java and ios make use of c-program and if you remember, Java is made from c-program just that Java is much easier, so be patient they'll surely come up with the stable one but the one I'm using now is kinda pleasing. Version 1.0.1

Your mobile data can allow you download the update that prepares your phone for the 8.1 update, but for the latter you will need a WiFi.

It shouldn't be more than 550mb in total. Just make sure you have a strong connection or else if it fails, you would have to restart the process, costing you more data. I ended up using up to 830mb due to bad network.

I spent just 400 naira purchasing 700mb glo coweek bis.
Then using my brother's Android as hotspot, I downloaded the update.

This update is a life saver. I now swipe through my keyboard seamlessly. I can even download and upload files with internet explorer. . For the first time, my phone feels like a smartphone. I can finally see the root folders. The sound seems to have improved too.

One thing I still miss, which annoys me, is the inability to lock 3g on my phone.

Glo was slow as snail that day, in fact I was downloading at 20kb per second.
I spent almost 2 hours in total.

The last update I did (8.1) was through the developer's preview. Although, I don't have the app anymore, but the last time I checked, an update was and still available. The question is: Is there a need to downgrade before installing the new update or can I just go ahead with the update?

You must de-register from the update before you can get cyan.
Download the preview developer app again, and make sure you untick the box that signifies your agreement to the developer preview scheme, else, you will only end up downloading another developer preview update again!
