Well,I feel recharge card sale is lucrative but it has a very low profit rate. U would just be hoping on turnover.. The others are wonderful, but I'm looking @ doing something that has less competition and innovative

I know how frustrating it can be when you're faced with financial challenges, where at times the only option is to find a better business to do and make some money. But I think you need to chill for a while. Take your time. Don’t be in a haste. Starting a business with the sole aim of making money will take you nowhere. Look around your environment and find out the needs of the people. Is it lack of good drinking water? You start fast by supplying pure water. That's how to start a business. By figuring out the needs of people. Wish you well.

I totally agree with you. Starting a business shouldn't be about making money. It should be about turning a passion into a skill which can earn you money. The most successful entrepreneurs out there are making money doing what God created them to do for free. They love and enjoy what they do. They honed their talents until they became skills and then turned those skills into money making ventures.

I would like to add one thing though. You would be surprised what you could turn into a profit making venture. i doesn't have to be a capital intensive venture. You may not even need up to 10,000 naira to start. This is especially true when you are a student. You are currently surrounded with a huge potential market for your skills. When I was in the university, I made money doing what I was good at. I realised I had a flair for in depth research and I also picked up new things fast. One day I got my hands on a copy of SPSS (statistical package for social sciences). I had no idea at that point that it would make me money in the future. I taught myself how to use the software through online tutorials and soon became and expert. When we started writing our final year projects, I happened to be one out of may 5 people on the whole caplus who knew how to use SPSS for the chapter 4 analysis. After helping a couple of people, I started charging 5,000 naira per person. Needless to say I made quite a bot of money and even after I graduated, people kept calling me to help them even from other schools.

What skills do you currently possess that are unique? Can those skills meet the needs of the students around you? Would they be willing to pay you to apply those skills in solving their problems? You may not have one yet but keep an open mind and keep learning new things. You don't have to buy and sell to make money.

I hope I have been able to help. Feel free to contact me should you need specific advise about any venture you're considering.
