Last year Angola was even linked with a decommissioned Spanish aircraft carriergrin don't know if they are still interested.

Lol a "decommissioned" Aircraft Carrier?

With no means to upgrade or maintain it locally that would've been a disaster.

This is what I'm talking about, our politicians love buying old B.S

hahahaha
Another disaster would have been trying to man the aircraft carrier to full capacity with their small navy.
Infact it must surely take their entire navy to man the carriergrin

It would take one bomb to wipe out their entire navy.

I went for Eid Prayer had No phone with me. I believe the were heading to shadawanka Barracks in Bauchi. There was a little standoff btw them and locals who were showing there displeasure with the situation in the North east. Resulting in the escort teams firing the weapons into the air

This is why I believe that aircraft carriers should be own by countries that can afford to lose them, when you have A.Cs you need to reconfigure your entire navy defense system just to protect the damn things, but who knows maybe they would've been able to handle it hey.

I concur.

The next war to include them against a navy with diesel subs such as Turkey,Brazil,Sweden and South Korea will show just, how difficult it is to protect A.Cs.

Angola is at its peak, their is money to spend unnecessarilly on what they don't need.
Cos I see no reason why they need Aircraft carrier,
Are they going to cruise it to the gulf of guinea and invade Nigeria or what,
May be it will never live the angola shores

I'm ecstatic!

It's not just another Al-shabab stronghold, it's their headquarters. As of now, they have no control over any major towns.

They still have some towns under their control.

AMISON needs more troops, resources and equipment.

Apart from Bu'ale and Bardera, the rest are tiny villages. The locals in those villages would kick Alshaytan out themselves if they had the means to do it.

AMISOM need equipment but they don't need anymore troops, they need to train the Somali soldiers scattered around in the south central regions. Remember AMISOM are leaving Somalia in less than 2 years time therefore thé SNA needs to be empowered and strengthened so when they leave, those regions don't fall back into Alshabab hands again.

Famous for its whitewashed buildings, Barawa is one of the oldest Somali towns.

And without firing a shot. The enemy simply disappeared. It's a very important and strategic victory for the A.U and the Somali national army.
