Depending on chinko weapons only is the height of madness

You need to diversify your source while building indigenous military products

For God's sake what is wrong with this govt. Is it that they just loved to embarassed. What's the point of this one again. The govt in SA is very unpopular right. Its obviously intentional that Zuma is trying to rob some bad publicity on Nigeria ( and the TBJ debacle didn't help ). GEJ should better seat him down and discuss this. What nonsense

All this insult because GEJ is not an Igbo who believes in indigenous production.

Do you know that Ihejirika Ojukwu and co were pioneers of indigenous military products.

Nigeria Igirigi APC and rockets were pioneered by Ihejirika and I stand to be corrected that Ojukwu/Ironsi played crucial roles in Kaduna military industry aka DICON

If Nigeria involve her higher institutions in weapons development all this insult will never take place.

The government don't need to spend a dime. Just give the higher institutions a written promise that you will pay them any money they spend on developing any weapon that meets international standard.

With this written promise, the higher institutions will not only levy the students but approach big organizations for financial support.

Your statement is off point.

South Africa should know that it is turn by turn.

Very soon, they will lose more than that on Nigerian soil...

What a submission* what do they have in nigeria- MTN is owned by nigerian's - point out all supposed investments, owned by south africans and you would be surprised they are all smoke screens, they are all owned by nigerian's - you would be surprised that our government REACTs, rather then being proactive- we have a very clueless leadership without direction on what to do, that's why ebola came into nigeria in the first place, why cameroon treat nigerians like trash, tanzania want nigerians to leave their country? Ghanians come up with stricter polices to frustrate and drive nigerians out of their country- I said this almost 2 years ago, that our foreign policy has to change- where were your likes then? what is turn by turn, wrong leadership -directives? Well something that may surprise you, since they have stopped us from buying ammunition boko haram have been suffering serious defeats- don't you think they don't know? Its obvious the government is feeding both the troops and thwarts the same ammunition, Just drawing another angle to the myopic views of some submissions I noticed in yours

Are you aware that the Nigerian government due to its incompetence, carelessness and gross disregard for anything called law, broke the money laundering laws of SA?... I am sure you are aware

Do you think every nation in the world is as lawless as yours where clear laws can be broken brazenly by the very people who are meant to enforce the laws?

Questions for you

Why didn't they stop the money when it passed through their CBN. Why is it now the money wants to return back that they stopped it.

Did they contact Abuja for clarification before impounding the money

From your comments, it's obvious you've been holed up somewhere in Nigeria all year life. If you step outside the shores of 9ja and into South Africa, you'll be ashamed of yourself. Everything works well in SA compared to what is obtainable in 9ja. If someone who have been around the globe and seen "good economy" asserts that he's ashamed of Nigeria, u guys will tear the person apart. But it simply means that the situation in Nigeria compared to other places he visited or lived in is a shit hole where nothing works. Everything works on SA. When I visited that country, I was overawed with the level of development, I couldn't believe this is in Africa. Economic ratings or no ratings, SA is far more developed than Nigeria in virtually all spheres of life. I do understand your situation, I was once like u, totally beclouded by patriotic sentiments until seeing other parts of the world opened my eyes.

Seems we can't learn to obey money laundering laws and also respect other countries.

Smh

What has money laundering got to do with this?

This is NOT money laundering. However, what is described here is a crime nonetheless.

But let's look at it critically.

Why did Nigeria resort to this method? There must have been reasons for it. Even the US has been caught several times in a similar web.

Let's not forget that Nigeria has encountered several brick-walls in her bid to acquire arms for the prosecution of the war against BH (lets just assume that it really is for the BH war). We have all read of the US refusal to sell certain arms to Nigeria and they have also blocked procurements of several units of Chinook Helis from Isreal among other things.

What if Nigeria decided to go this route as that is the only possible way to procure the types of arms listed. In the interest of National Security, Nigeria may have decided to go this route. It probably was a venture that tuned sour. Lets wait for a National response first. The US has had several of such issues in the past. I would not also be surprised if SA played a backstabbing role in this. The ingrates have being known for such in the past

Good that your eyes are open.

But don't you think you would do a lot better by bringing those opened eyes back to Nigeria and implement some changes in an area that you have seen in Diaspora?

That way, Nigeria will become as "developed" as those other places. And by the way, is it possible to make as much money as you would in Nigeria in those places you talk about.
