Well it was only a matter of time before Google's big hammer landed on her. I don't know why she never got her own site, nothing beats being your own boss knowing that no jupiter can control you anyhow. Its sad, she had to learn the hard way. Other people should learn from this mishap.

It wasn't about business rival, since last year, several writers I know complained that Linda Ikeji was stealing their content without crediting them. It wasn't that she was sharing common gist, she would lift passages they wrote, pictures they shot and post it on her blog and MAKE MONEY OFF THEIR HARDWORK. Without giving them a kobo (she could have afforded to). Please she should stop calling haters and God, abeg, it's only in Nigeria people who steal will call on the Lord's name when caught.o

Exactly, most people here have no clue what is happening. I have soft spot for Linda but her I don't give damn aattitude was part of her falling. As big and rich she is she sees nothing wrong with plagiarism was baffling. All I wanted her to do was apologies to the guy, remove the content and move on, thus drama would have died down.

A lot of people dont get it. Its not about her having her own domain name. It is about plagiarism. Even if she gets her own website tomorrow, goes back online and continues as she has always done, she will be shut down again.

She needs her own original articles. Maybe user submitted like WSHH and the user gets a cut.

Dear Linda, the fact that almost everyone copies doesn't make copyright infringement a norm! She should pay if she is guilty. It is sad. Only few blogs in Nigeria will contact you before publishing your work - at least Omojuwa did when he published mine, but I was sad to Google the tittles of my pieces and see them pop-up on many other blogs! It is bad.

Besides, if Linda were smart like most people claim, she should have employed the services of a sound lawyers and other professionals long ago to guard what put food on her table. I hope Seun is learning.

Omg! One of the lessons I learnt about 5 years ago.....Have a domain name instead of a free .......I read this when I started researching about web business years ago. It is a painful one. But if it is on the basis of plagiarism, then I am afraid for her. The law is clear over this, but I feel it would have been more hard to shut her down over this if she has good lawyers.

She needs to hire a good PR consultant and move ahead with another name. The Cheese has been moved!

So sad. After several attempt by her enemies especially the hacker called Mr Aydee, they've finally succeeded in geting Google to remove the site after they lodged a campaign of copyright infringement against her. This must be a big blow to the multimillionaire blogger who is Africa's number one. She is expected to release a statement on this. Earlier in the day she told her readers that she's been trying to get a domain name but the internet squatters have hijacked most of the likely name she cud use. That's a multimillionaire business google has just shut down! Couldn't they have verified all this allegations against her and know that it's the handiwork of hackers and haters!

They should also have known that most people in Nigeria actually registered on blogger cos of her(I guess)
