is true let them at least be allowed a fair hearing. is the natural right.

not even now that we are deficient of soldiers.

I know gej will intervene favorably, he is a good man

Gej only intervenes when corruption is involved nd no toes to step on. Bokoharam members to be rehabilitated while Nigerian soldiers sentenced to death. There was a country!

This guy jst wants publicity and fame jare. You can't sue the army over their own matter. Anyways, now that he has been known, hope he gets more customers/clients

Someone who was NBA president as far back as 8 years ago is looking for popularity and clients? One of Nigeria's most well-known SANs and human rights activists? Google is your friend bro and actually you can sue to enforce fundamental human rights be it against the army or any other body so dunno what you're talking about. Hope the soldiers get a court martial under a fairly constituted tribunal. That's what they deserve.

First thing first, military tribunal is a military affair and anywhere in the world, the army have their own standard. The best Olisa could have done was to appeal the judgement at the court of appeal and possibly plead for clemency on behalf of the soldiers.

I don't subscribe to his choice of undermining the authority of a constitutionally recognized institution. I wondered what he meant by the tribunal members being only army officers as if soldiers use to interfere in lawyers' affairs !

Good move. When they know the boko boys have got powerful weapons than them and their moves abt attacking terrorist were compromised, why should they go. In 2011 in the UK, press and families of british army prostested to the govt that the boys on field are not well equiped to fight terrorist and immediately Cameron had to explain to the parliament when the issue came up. But here nothing happened when they complained abt such. May God of justice intervene.

The Civilian has no right whatsoever to intervene in the matters of the Military. Our gallant soldiers are trained to obey to the last order, that is why loyalty is a watchword for them. Mutiny is a capital crime and if not dealt with appropriately will mean leaving the rest of our Soliders to do as they please and rebel against authorities. As a matter of fact, it will weaken our defense stronghold. Every nation of the world with the strongest military do not take Mutiny likely. Moreover the civilian constitution cannot be used as a yardstick for the military as they are more disciplined!

I am not into law but common sense and reason tells me (In fact, as seen on movies) that the actions of those soldiers was grave.
They attacked (opened fire) at a very senior military personnel. That is so wrong.
I do not see any other punishment to give them other than that.
I trust GEJ anyway, he may want to look into it but of course not so soon.

Agbakoba is not saying what they did was right but the process with which they were convicted was wrong.

Only one person single handedly chose the judge, the jury and the executioner. Its totally wrong. This is death sentence we are talking about here. Once it has be executed there's no way you can correct any mistake discovered after. The best thing to do is to give them a very fair hearing as a Human being and not just kill them like chickens.

Under normal circumstances, mutiny has grave consequences. But in a system laden with endemic corruption, the ogas at the top should remove the logs in their own eyes before castigating the victims of their financial malfeasance.

Whatz this bloody civilian tryna do
He should leave the military to their ruling & go do what he knows how to do best "civilian ruling"

I believe if those given the death sentence where found guilty shouldn't be pardoned.
I mean, the army isn't jst a unified body where you make your own decisions, being an army comes with much work of full dedication & commitment in protecting your country...

I think they should face the sentence passed upon them to serve as a deterrent to others trying to follow same part, besides the motto has always been clear "Obey the last order".
I have said this over and over again. Nigerians should allow the army be, they have their global law. Bloody civilians should fvck off their matter. Mutiny is punishable by death no matter what caused it. Opening fire on a General in the army? Smh.

Get an education before it is too late. It is either we have a constitution or we don't . That is all that there is to this matter.

Who are you referring to as gallant soldiers? Is it the sentenced soldiers? These people committed mutiny, tried and sentenced and you are describing them as gallant. Am just praying that one day common snese will always be available and indeed very common to every Nigwrians.

Obey which yeye "last order"...and the Egbere giving the "order" sending hardworking soldiers to their death is a terrorist informant and has been discharged honorably. Like seriously?? This isn't a military regime in case you've been living under the rock for the past 2 decades, we're in a democracy so let the court speak. It's a big shame that the commander in question is a free man and the ones who refused to die like rats are being punished...A damn big SHAME!!!!
