That's what some people don't understand, they claim Ghana has constant power supply, not knowing that almost half of the country don't know what electricity is called cos they've never seen it all there life. While almost 90% of 170million nigerias has electricity even if its not constant.
I can compete with S.A but ghana? grin pls
I hate ignorant people do your research before you speak. Look at the number of people connected to the national grid between Ghana and Nigeria.

Nigeria wants 70% of its pop to be connected to the national grid by 2020 while Ghana wants 90 percent of its pop to be connected. As we speak over 75% of ghanaians are connected while only 55% of nigerians are connected.

75% of 25 million is what?
Compared to 55% of 170 million?
Lagos start alone is 98% of your country.

The power used in Ghana as a country, will not serve half of Lagos state, so chill kid brother grin
the little 1000mw that they generated has bin reduced to 350mw as a result of d fact dat we've stopped giving them gas

I am glad u got the gist of the song, allow me to school you once more. Before Nigerians started investing in Ghana, Ghana was doing great and Nigerians could have invested elsewhere but they choose Ghana because
1. Ghana is one of safest country in west Africa
2. We are second largest economy and pop in west africa
3. The returns in Ghana is higher than anywhere in west africa including Nigeria becaue of the ease of doing business.
So without Nigeria we will continue thrive like we were before they decided to invest.

Second, the gas Nigeria supply Ghana contribute less than 10% to the national grid. Without it we will be okay as long as we find other means which we are currently doing.

Trust me should Ghana and Nigeria decide to go their separate way, it will help Nigerians more than it would help Ghana, especially the three million nigerians that school, live and do business in Ghana.

Ps Ghana doesnt import a single agriculture products uct from Nigeria.

It is only right that u open your border if you want us to open our border. Nigerians are born hypocrites, they will come to nairaland and b.t.ch about how other countries dont like them but turn around and do the same to their neighbors. Look how much b..tching took place on nairaland when Ghana decided to close down shops own by nigerians.

if peace was why they are green, some africa countries have no green in the map and no war.. War is not the reason. it is the exposure of the leaders abroad that brought them exposure.

So you want to kill our industries by converting Nigeria to a dumping ground.

Reliance on Nigeria gas is 'mentally retarding'
thinking
- NDC MP asserts.
At a round table discussion on the challenges
facing the energy sector organized by the
Institute of Green Growth Solutions the NDC MP
was highly critical of the decision to rely on
Nigeria for gas.
Joy News' Joseph Opoku Gakpo reported the MP
as saying it is "mentally retarding" for the
country to rely on Nigeria, a volatile region - for
gas. This 'mentally retarding' explanation, he
said has been sold to Ghanaians through a mass
media he also criticised as "intellectually lazy".
"How many times have we not known that this
supply is unreliable? Since when has gas supply
from Nigeria been reliable? It has historically
been unreliable. And the least you can do in
planning is to plan with the fact that gas from
Nigeria can not be depended upon so let's look
at alternatives", the frustrated MP emphasized.
