you all forget that Nigerians are the most open-minded. They take up the causes of other countries' reps like say na JAMB. Do S/Africans support our reps and abandon theirs? They made Mr Bones look like some brainy hunk when Nigerians were saying Melvin was dull. Nigerians will attack our own reps mercilessly. Check out @ejimenofili on twitter, this is somenne who supported arrogant Elikem, but now has issues with arrogant Tayo, same as one Hilary guy. No one else does that for us. Then there's one stewpid Ghana rat @Mzlianne that is such an unrepentant snake, she famzes Nigerians in the first week only to end up subtly condeming our reps and singing praises for hers-without provocation. For all our arrogance, we only attack housemates who attack our reps, we no dey find talk where e no dey, but you find others attacking Tayo as if dem dey dash award. This isn't all Nigeria's fault

The Tayo I saw in the diary room is a totally different Tayo. I just knew it that he didn't appreciate Luis' reaponse to IK's question. Now I know the reason for the whole shouting and haters shit. Not everyone would be strong enough to carry on when someone tells you that you are desperate for something when you are only trying to be yourself. Biggie even felt for the guy....poor Tayo! Truth is, Naija has influence in BBA (but we're over rating it), and in many things, Naija is on top. Now this is the bane of the success of our present and future Naija reps. I said this because, this influence we have, has brought out the arrogance in us, Nigerians, and it's our downfall.

For example, Nigeria is king of entertainment industry in Africa, from movies, to music etc. I'm not bragging just trying to point something out. A lady on this thread from S.A once said how she knows about Naija celebrities/musicians but barely know of other countries' celebs. This one of the perks Naija has. That's why some people will love to tap into Nigerian entertainment honey, e.g; Bassey. Even DJ Xclusive is the most accepted and most well-known amongst all DJs that's graces BBA.

Now, this reality have gotten us "haters" from all nook and cranny, which is not unusual, but we NIGERIANS caused it partially, if not fully. It's not UNUSUAL cos when you are on top, people go jealous you. I jealoused Barca and rejoiced when Bayern Munich thrashed them. Back to the topic, after 3 Nigerians won BBA successively, other countries got jealous and decided that Naija reps won't win it again. To prove a point, last year, when Beverly and Melvin were evicted on the final day, some S.Ans on this thread, notably N*adia, said something like: "I am not fan of BBA, but thank God the Nigerians are out, now anybody can win it and I won't mind."

Now this is the jealousy I'm talking about but we brought it on ourselves somehow. In the bid to hype our reps, we oozed arrogant vibes. We tried to rub it in the face of other countries, about our previous BBA trophies. This irked them plus jealousy and since then, they've been wishing us bad. How did we show arrogant vibes? I'll give you the same example I gave to Safarigirl when I addressed her last year. Last year, I was on FB when I saw a comment from a Nigerian which went like this (not exact same words); "carry go Melvin.. Nothing do you. Una go hate tire. BBA na our birthright. We go dey win dey go. Melvin bring back the money. Haters can't stop us.." What followed was series of comments like "just imagine. Very typical arrogant Nigerians. Since it's your birthright, come and win it this year, then."

Now, that idiotic Melvin fan and his ilk, thought they're upping Melvin's game, but the truth is that, they were not. Instead it fuelled the already existing hate for Nigerians in people. Most of those comments where from SADC FBookers. And if Melvin lost SADC countries, he's already a goner because Elikem would drag WA's vote with him!! Our arrogance spoilt Melvin's game, forget he's laid back/dull nature. People loved Melvin, even said he didn't behave like a Nigerian, but their vows to vote him out made him loose. When Melvin lost, people were shocked.

Nigerian influence is mostly in two form only:

1. During tie-breaking in votes, our population as the most populous African country helps, ask Ricco.

2. Our hypes..Nigerians sabi make mouth and we can hype for Africa. Our hype elevated Dillish and she won with OTHER COUNTRIES VOTES NOT OURS!!

I keep telling people, Melvin lost MOSTLY cos he didn't come out for eviction ( he came out just once) much, so we couldn't hype him as much as Dillish. Dillish came out for eviction up to 4 times, and in those times, Nigerians carried her matter for head like say na headache. We even chose her over Maria and Beverly (this thought kills me )no thanks to the idiotic, pathetic males and OLD ladies fantasising about Dillish dumping Stephen for Melvin. So when the scales fell off their eyes, Dillish was already popular and not even Cleo from SADC could stop her. Melvin was just a pawn in the game!!

But saying our influence in actual votes ( not tie breaker) will save a HM, is pure fallacy. We're but ONE vote!!

That said, Tayo is real, but moderation is the key. He's picking up too many enemies. Uti was wiser when he came back the second time and chose his opponents wisely and won. Tayo is being over real and fighting everybody, not good in my books. Elikem was real and would've been a worthy winner if not for the fact that Africa voted on alliance, plus the people he kicked out influenced their region to vote others but him. That's why I'll never vote on BBA again. People vote on vengance, beauty, country alliance, instead of entertainers and REALITY acts. That Trezagah was voted over Mira shows BBA is useless. Until regional voting is abolished, borerites like Keegan, Wendull, Dillish will continue to win. If Trezagah wins this season, I won't be surprised.

Someone even had to audacity to suggest that aside the R Nigerians that won it, every other person that did did so because of the Nigerian influence as if Na only naija vote for them... Isn't it a crazy thing to suggest... We are swimming in an ocean of delusion, what with our exaggerated feeling of self importance and myopic braggadocio...

But you can't deny the fact that we have a hand in it... We have been attacking JJ here even before his spat with Tayo... We have won this thing 3 times, naturally, everybody is wary of us and want us out... Shey Na only we dey Africa... Also, our reps always give people something to talk about, its worse in Tayos case if you consider his constant bickerings...
We need to respect other peoples opinion and try as best as we can to avoid persona attacks like what you and I have done severally (mind you I included myself for a reason)

The question and answer is what has made him chill since and mellow and why he was telling Biggie that he hasnt been himself.

That was an eye opener from IK and it hit home. Tayo being calm today was so good because he has been fun all day while not being rude and loud to anyone.

If you people enjoy random people taking your country as shiiit everytime your rep frowns at them, I don't the day anyone says 'phuck SA' in that house, know that that housemate will be punished or warned at least, but not Nigeria. Twice now in 2 seasons and this is all you people have to say. We have tried, we don't want again abeg, make dem take their pissing contest go so SA can be the next target

has anyone attacked JJ as much as Tayo has been attacked. Tayo has been called dumb, stupid, ghetto, and all that. JJ's popular name is midget. Is it only Nigerians that call him that? Yes Nigeria can make a housemate win. I remember with Uti only Kenya was on our side. They hated him and did enough campaigning against the guy but we formed our strategy well and we pulled it off. When we are united no one can stop us. I remember how we had shifts for voting and we used the fact that we have Nigerians in different countries to our advantage.

The only thing that has changed since then is that since Karen we haven't had a housemate we were passionate about enough to pull off sleepless nights . With Tayo I can consider

As per Pokello, you seem to forget they had each other's back, so I expect him to go against the odds for his boo. After all the alliance got him Zim's vote. ho ha! Since Ernst&Young took over everything has scattered. After Karen won other countries complained so much that there was an overhaul. This thing don pass as we dey look am, una no understand at all. So many irregularities this year, Nigerians can't log on to the site to vote. Even the extravaganza ish I couldn't log in to vote, we complained and they did nothing. During nominations, Alusa was given a touch-screen displaying pictures of Team B as those that can be nominated. When he left it took over 10mins for the next housemate to be called during which they replaced the tab with a print-out of names of Team A members, what kind of error is that?
