All nairalanders, thanks for the good job y’all doing here. I got info from a friend about going to work in Dubai and I decided to check online and I got this thread. I read the few last pages, left my enquiries/questions, Kelvin4ESU was the one who responded and I requested a PM from him to which he responded speedily. He succeeded in linking me up with his partner who said he is in Abuja and he said I should pay =N=180,000 for A FREEZONE VISA, he said that Kelvin4ESU will be my sponsor in Dubai and that there is a receptionist job already for me in Dubai. He also said I should change my age on my Int’l passport which was my very mighty mistake (because I actually did and it cost me a total of =N=75,000.00 to correct it).

I asked my friend in Abuja to check the guy out for me and tell him I was only going to pay him when the job is done that is when I get to Dubai, see the job, accommodation and all they promised after all Kelvin4ESU who is the supposed sponsor lives in Dubai and there will be nowhere to run for me than to pay his money. Anyhow, I found it not just hard, but extremely hard to give my hard earned money to someone I don’t know.
Now, I have started all over, doing the first thing first. I have read up to page 50 of this thread and still going meanwhile, I have kept an eye on the so called Kelvin Johnson aka Kelvin4ESU, observing his comments but I noticed that since my PM with him, he has featured less on this thread and so I suspected he was probably afraid because he was very careful not to send lengthy mails instead, he sent his Abuja guy (John Chucks – don’t know if it’s a fake name) to me.

From pages 1 to 50 which I have read so far, the RESOUNDING warning is “DON’T INVOLVE AGENTS, DON’T SEND PM, DO IT YOURSELF RIGHT HERE IN THE OPEN”. So, people that is it.

Kelvin4ESU, yes that is who you are. Why don’t you change your ways rather than changing user names and get an honest means of livelihood. No let swear kill you o.

There are far too many of them that i care to expose in this section...sometimes biting my lips...getting another ID is just waste of time because it will be gone with one click.

People will still send PMs even after warning and they hate to hear the truth.

When this thread was started getting Dubai visa was a lot easier, its not the same now thanks to Nigerians and their blatant disregard for immigration rules.

We want to help each other as much as possible. If you don't have that kind of spirit in you, why don't you stay away from this thread. I av an agent here in naija, he jst did for a friend dat he's going nxt month.. He only gvs security nd driving. That my friend took driving nd I planning to take security.
I am a graduate nd av been working for a year in naija, the salary is rubbish, as in, rubbish.

1. Some told me I will av to get bac to naija(wich I don't want2)... I only want to secure anoda job

2.. Some told me before the end of my 2yrs, I shld look for anoda company. Once my first 2yr contract xpires, I shld resign, dat I av grace of 1month to look for anoda company dat can sponse my visa.

3.. Some told me I can process my residence mysef, by aving a deal wit a company to get me visa with which I can stay in d country.. Tho d visa reads m working wt dat company, bt I will be looking for another job, one I found a preferred company, I can request for termination of appointment from d company I had deal with nd get a new visa with my preferred company, which I can now work with for years as along as m willing to stay.


Pls Nairaland, this is my situation now, kindly tell me how I can work out my plan..(Getting another job after 2yrs). Thanks
