Mass Failure In Nigerian Law School by Nobody: 5:44am On Oct 19, 2014 |
The Nigerian Law School recently released the 2013/2014 August result, and about 4,000 students were said to have failed the examination which is a prerequisite for them to be called to Bar.http://www.naij.com/307846-mass-failure-at-nigerian-law-school.html The Board of Studies of the Council of Legal Education has directed that henceforth, re-sit candidates are to attend at least eight weeks compulsory revision classes at the Nigerian Law School.http://www.channelstv.com/2014/10/20/law-school-reacts-mass-failure-bar-exams/ 4 Likes 3 Shares |

you truly believe that? how many law schools are in Nigeria and what is the capacity of each one? if everyone passed the exam do you really think all the law schools would have the capacity to accommodate them? the law board passes a certain percentage of applicant for each exam irrespective of the number that applied for it. check last year's pass rate. Edit: I don't believe that the educational system in law schools are deteriorating. a graph is drawn of the total exam score and a certain percentage is taken as the cut off Mark. you might have passed the exam but if your score is below that Mark, you don't pass. however, considering the cost of the exam, setting such high standards could be harmful. 9 Likes |

This is just a clear picture of our Legal system.... Their 'senior colleagues' discharged and acquitted Ibori of corrruption only to be charged and jailed abroad with a minor offence. #TheyAreNotJustOk.com 54 Likes 3 Shares |

They should take heart...Mass failure is a Nigerian Brand. It's our culture; they should get use to it as we have gotten used to other mass failures like Buhari, Police, NEPA, MTN, ACN...God giveth, God taketh. 36 Likes |

no be today the Judiciary don dey fail Nigerians. Itz good they start failing themselves too. #OnlyInNigeria a student gets 85% he'll say, "I passed" but if he scores 29%, he'll say, "The lecturer failed me" 11 Likes |

Tbliss12:our educational system is on a downward spiral, until and unless values are reallocated, it is definitely going to get worse and possibly get to the point we make first class and not even know the subject matter of our discipline. A lot of us choose vocations we don't have any business with just because of the "prestige" attached to it. I thank God for my elder brother who opened my eyes to some of these things. Maybe I for follow write the said exam. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

The problem is the fact that in an oil rich society....people read to pass exams, not to understand and to innovate. Basically, our education system produces people who have no experience of reading to learn....or even learning to read. They just cram and cram and cram.... Nigeria! P.S....For a sure fire , guaranteed way to read and pass your exams....WITHOUT EXPO .....try the SQ3R method...Survey, Question, Read, Recite , Revise! University Of Brunel Paper on the method SQ3R...What is it. 11 Likes 2 Shares |
