Hello Cisco Professionals, I need your clarification on the subject matter above.

My CCNA is due to expire next month. I've been so engaged that I couldn't upgrade to CCNP during the three-year validity.

Obviously, I have to upgrade to CCNP before expiration or risk recertifying CCNA all over again. Buh I need to get this clear: can passing JUST an aspect of CCNP ( be it route, switch or t'shoot) get my CCNA status auto renewed, or MUST I really have to pass all three (or four) aspects of CCNP before my CCNA is renewed?

Again, how feasible is it that I can pass an aspect now that I have barely a month to go?

I'm currently doing an advanced diploma of computer science.
I want to get into either networking or programming (leaning towards networking).
I will not be able to sit the CCNP exams, as I wont have the knowledge (only doing 2 of the 4 CCNP modules).

Ok you can uplift your CCNA by passing one CCNP exam not all. I will advice you to go for the easier CCNP exam( you have the options ROUTE, SWTICH and TSHOOT) . Route is the easiest - So prepare for this first. Also - i can provide you all you need to pass the exam -

Thanks for your feedback and clarification. Thank you also for offering to help.
However, I've started already with Switch; and starting afresh with Route might be a big challenge to me 'cause of time constraints. Hope I don't stand much on a disadvantage continuing with Switch.?

As for the study materials, I have Todd Lamle's CCNP Switch study guide. What extra I'd need for the Switch exam is the latest dump in that regard.

Your further feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.
