Re: A Thread For Catholics by Nobody:
Ubenedictus:
Extraordinary Synod has ended, pope paul vi has been beatified. Card. Kasper has apologised to the african bishops for implying they shouldn't be listened to. Card burke may soon be removed from the supreme tribunal and the apostolic signatura. More cardinals and bishops are still blasting the concluded synod.

The final document reaffrimed church teaching on most subjects, topics like divorce and remarriage and maybe homosexuality may still be discussed in the ordinary synod next year. It seem the arguement will continue till the middle of next year.

Pope francis acted as a refree thru out the conference, maybe he will get some rest before he begins travelling again.

Pray for the pope, pray for the church.

Bl paul vi, pray for us.
In my very proud opinion that cardinal is silly, a bloody racist and a disgrace to the Church.

what will u do if pope decides to welcome gay marriage?
Asked to be clarified if he is speaking as 'Mr' Francis or he is speaking as the vicar of Christ through the instrumentality of the Holy Spirit.

If he speaks as Christ's Vicar and the teaching is defined as a dogma then I would have no alternative than to accept it.

Afterall there are a number of teachings I am not comfortable with but I accept them all the same.

To whom shall we go to? You have the message of eternal life.

2ndly What Is The Diff B/w Libral And Conservative Catholic?
I believe one is either a Catholic or not.

Since you call both groups Catholic then for me the difference is that one is like Paul who is very openn to change which does not set him or her at odds with God while the other is like Peter who is a bit slow and sceptical about renewing the 'old ways'.

italo:
For me there is nothing like "liberal Catholic" and "conservative Catholic." There should be no dichotomy therein.

A Catholic should be both conservative and liberal, just like Jesus Christ.

Some people who call themselves Conservative Catholics would not as much as baptize the children of a single mother...while some people who call themselves Liberal Catholic would obstinately denounce the doctrines of God like (marriage being between a man an a woman), yet claim to be Catholic. Some so-called conservatives will disown a child who , marries a non Catholic, while some so-called liberal Catholics will have children out of wedlock and proclaim it to be okay, no need to confess and right the wrong. These things are sins!

These things are sins!

A Catholic is one who upholds the doctrine of God (as taught by the Church), but who knows that the essence for this doctrine is love...love for God and man.

A Catholic upholds Church teaching, admits his wrong when he falters, and is able to look at those who err through the eyes of mercy and love.

Be vigilant when people are trying to create false dichotomies and division...as if to say there are two different kinds of Catholics...two different churches in one.

If you will disown your child for marrying a non-Catholic, you're simply unCatholic, not conservative Catholic.

If you believe gay marriage is okay, you're simply uncatholic, not liberal Catholic.

A Catholic is conservative and liberal.

God bless you.
Beautiful!

Dear HurricaneChris,

May the Lord who did not spare His only son to suffer and die for our sins attend to your petitions and above all fill you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to live your life in fullness unto His glory through Christ Jesus - Amen

....When things happen in a way that makes us speechless, it's either we drop tears of while singing endlessly to God almighty or feel like doing "crazy" like shouting, jumping, dancing to songs of joy etc.

These were actually my situations and dt of every body in my family on d 26th of Oct, 2006. We're overwhelmed! The miracle was unexplainable. We didn't knw hw it happened. But we knew God almighty tru the intercession of The Blessed Virgin Mary had shown the fulfillment of his promises......."Never to allow innocent go down"
