Those Botswana pics are not bad at all. Its looks like most places in Abuja even Lagos but they are real good. Anambra on the other hand is getting it right because as little as Ngige stayed he made some indelible marks at least on rural roads then came Obi who fired on from there and completed most of the rural area roads. Now comes Obiano who has taken on major urban capital infrastructures, oil and gas development, hospitality, malls etc to making Anambra the first choice investment destination. For the past 16 years from Ngige to Obi and now to Obiano, Anambra has seen holistic development of continuity which has seen most part of the state develop genuinely. Obiano from all indication has brought great environmental sanity to Anambra particularly Onitsha the heat-beat of the region. If Upper Iweka can this organized, clean and sanitized then Anambra has every reason to aim Dubai, Pretoria and Capetown because they have got the technocrat at the helm of affairs in the state. If you had listened to that video you will understand that money follows ideas and not the other way round..Obiano has got the idea and as a former auditor to Texaco worldwide and a former bank chief he has a grip of what first world development is about and can bring it to bear on Anambra which he is already doing. You have done well my brother but those pictures are actually old..I think it was before they did the final coating on the road because I took some of those pictures myself. The last picture is not Anambra..that round-about, please knock it off! Below is the current outlook of that Anambra road you posted.. OreMI22:

Ye, i dont like like Obi for not banning Okada, he should have banned it but since government is stable lets know whether Obiano or even FG will do the needful. Besides Obi might have looked into the economic implications of banning okada considering that about 80% of okada and its parts in West Africa are locally produced in Nnewi. What if he banned the Okada and factories in Nnewi started retrenching, the managements of those coy will accuse him of killing their businesses while workers in those factories will aslo curse him for sending to bed on empty stomach. The best thing is to summon those manufactueres and tell them the need to move into Keke parts manufacturing because the policy of banning Okada could be in the offing. Lets not wake and ban Okada, besides am seeing the gradual demise of Okada now in Nigeria because Keke is better and more lucrative. Nobody does hire purchase Okada again but Keke, my brother wanted who will take his bike on hire purchase but the price wasnt encouraging, the person was even persuading him to buy Keke that he will take it on any amount, to show you that the operators are no longer interested even the passengers are become scared of okada OreMI22: |

As at last month Obiano has concluded plans to ban bikers..I am privy to that classified information. I know that any moment from now he will phase it out completely from our major cities except for maybe rural areas. The companies at Nnewi are moving into Keke manufacturing than bike. Again let us consider that 98% of those bikers in Anambra are not Anambrans but migrants from other states around. OkijaAmaka: |

I dnt give hoot what you might label me, whether Val Obienyem or Pita Obi's first son or distance cousin i still hold me ground. But please before we continue can i know how old you are because you seems not to reason introspectively or are you just being selective retentive. We cant discuss the New Anambra without refernces to pre-Obi Anambra, where Ngige couldnt stop Ndi Agboro and "Power di excess" was their anthem, defying government orders and directives while Ngige couldnt do anything. Obi entered flush agboro, he was impeached they were celebrating his impeachment and retuned to their booths, he came back again and ransacked them, MASSOB hinjacked Onitsha, Obi used force and dislodge them, i dont know whether you have been born by then shaa but am trying to school you how many violence the Kingdom of Anambra suffered and while the violent taketh it by force. Leave Ngige in Anambra State, ndi Agboro ga eji mmadu we kpu aru. Do you think that Obi just fought mere political wars, he fought organized crimes and syndicates, street gangs and touts that were holding the state hostage before you were born. I guess your folks fogot to tell you these abi, they only tell you how many trillions he failed to account for. FreeGlobe: |

The adverse effect will be huge, even though I support the ideal of banning okada in our major cities,we still need to meet the manufacturers and inform them of this plan. In kano state for example, the motor cycle spare part market (kufar ruwa), all the parts are imported from Nnewi. Infact you have to go to Nnewi and meet the importer, then he will supply you the goods.,from piston to rings, tubes etc. They have inscriptions like this tobias, ocheson, ezees and the rest. Heard that most of them are made in Nnewi, while others are imported from China with the goods bearing the Owners Name. |

Obiano is even mounting back-lit to replace billboards. Headbridge to Upper Iweka that has seen all sorts of street trading has been fenced off and cleared. Even from the view of those pictures you could see no more street loitering nor trading..it is now open view without billboards crisscrossing the environment and all. It can only get better.. OkijaAmaka:indeed! my age is not in question. the thing here is for you to do your job of defending obi with verifiable facts. If you said obi fought crimes in Anambra which crime has Obiano devoted his first six months in fighting? need I remind you that kidnapping was at its peak during Obi's tenure? Can you compare the present security situation in onitsha now to what was obtainable during Obi's tenure? What exactly did obi do? |

Nwanne its okay..let us stop this back and forth. Both Ngige and Obi did their best and now we are happy that Obiano is on his feet to move the state to yet another level. This thread is for every good thing in Anambra. Dalu.. We are entering for a workshop right now at the International Women Development Center- Awka.. FreeGlobe:

OkijaAmaka:Yeah I agree with you on the street trading, it's an eyesore. Ngige tried to ban it during his time . I could remember that's when iweka people(Electromart) moved to their now permanent site. Places like Venn road, Iweka road, Ochanja, Ezenwekwe, Menax and even Oguta roads need to be cleared. The one I hate most is the indiscriminate display of good on the roads even on top drainages. Our people really need reorientation .Most times they prefer iron hand and extortion before they will obey simple law. |

OkijaAmaka:My people in this thread, I greet you. On this Okada issue, while we should try to secure people's livelihood, the entire state must not be held back by the interest of very few persons. Who might not even be from Anambra. The government should have a meeting to advise motorcycle part manufacturers that it intends to move forward. Consequently, 6 months to 9 months grace period should be given. After the period, okada use for commercial transportation in at least the 3 major urban centers of Onitsha, Awka and Nnewi should be banned. |
| Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by VAQAXY: 1:44pm On Oct 27, 2014 |
The annoying thing is that 98% of those bikers are not even from Anambra. The producers at Nnewi are already moving toward Tricycle because that is where the economy is moving to. Just chill you will hear the announcement on the ban very soon because I have seen the report concerning the ban first hand. ChimaAdeoye: |

3dankey:90percent of motorcyle, keke napepe, generators and motor spare parts are all imptorted from China,India,Taiwan,Iran(mostly tyers and tubes) and Japan for most engine parts. All most all goods comes with a 'special name' like u mentioned above but only few parts are being manufactured in Nnewi....goods like; *side covers, leg shield, cutting gasket,OTC cables, winker lamps, side covers and some springs which hardly last. Reasons being that imported goods are more cheaper and realiable dan nigeria made Remember,I've stayed in this market for close to 13years and still counting....This market is a God sent because it has produced thousands of millionaires of which Innoson group is among. We the student of UNN aka University of Nkwo Nnewi knows better...throw ur questions about d market here. |

@ achi4u UNN University of Nkwo Nnewi , is that what u ppl call it over there?since you have stayed there that long (13yrs),we will need pix of this great market, ppl only know of Onitsha Main market and even come their to buy goods. @ OkijaAmaka The poster issue! Need to be handled Asap. Look at even Abuja in all its beauty, u will find posters spread all round the city. We need to ban posters and put laws in place for offenders. @ VAQAXY What are u ppl doing @ women development centre? Also we will like to know what the meeting is all about. |

FreeGlobe:Silence they say is the best answer to a fool. Incase you haven't noticed yet, sensible people here have noticed your senseless blind arguements and usually ignore you. Truth is that whether he provided verifiable facts or not, you will never accept any positive thing about Peter Obi even when it is obvious to the blind. That is why your age comes into question due to your very childish immaturity. For you, if one isn't praising Ngige, then he must be a paid Peter Obi's agent. So pathetic. Many people don't even bother responding to you anymore, even when u use your poorly disguised cuche moniker. Getting you to reason is more like responding to Musiwa's "do you see the difference" repeated questions. |

ChimaAdeoye:hmmmm This your name Igbo and Yoruba. How come? Chima Adeoye ,so you really believe cuche and freeglobe are one& the same person. Why does the truth irritate you so much? Mr Peter Obi is a crook, that will one day be clear to you and a few of you still in doubt Just remember I was the first to say here that he deceived Ojukwu, Prof Akunyili and many more with his semi-innocent look. Madam Dora was alive when I said so, deceit is his stock in trade Don't worry, Mr Peter Obi will be probed and made to return a lot of assets/cash to Anambra State. It will happen Bookmark this page NB I have never said he did nothing during his tenure, I criticized the quality of his projects among other things |

| Re: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by ChimaAdeoye: 10:49pm On Oct 28, 2014 |
Ilovenigeria:Anambra needs an airport and a sea port. But we live in the realty where funds are limited compared to our wants. Therefore we must write up our scale of priority. A refinery will help Anambra create good jobs, support industrialization and IGR than an airport right now. So an airport at this time may be deemed wasteful. |

ChimaAdeoye:When a true Anambrarian speak you will know. Airport will come but for know lets pursue those that are feasible. |
