wow...almost same experience here...I was the Zonal Music Director under NCCF, Secretary @ CWA, etc. I was initially posted to a primary school there (after all my exploits as one of the best snare drummers @ Music & Band in Dakingari Camp), later to a secondary school. There was no church there actually (there is none still). We the Christian Corpers managed one apartment for fellowships. Social life was close to zero, but I had enough time to think about life in general. Met some crazy tribalists and extremists. I coped well with them. Not too boring though...I had to get a guitar for practise.

All in all, it was indeed service to the nation.

I find that tribal and religious extremism/bigotry are fronts people use. There's always a underlying motive.

Am in lagos now. I just got back from ojota. From lagos to ado-ekiti by bus is N1,900. By car is N2,200. From ado-ekiti to ise (where nysc camp is located) is just N300. There is a corpers lounge in ado-ekiti. When are you leaving for camp?
