Some schools just doesn't award their scholars first-class degrees no matter how hard they worked.

We've got multiplicities of these Uzoma and co in our universities.

Ograke:

OAU last session law finalists were not among the just-graduated NLS students due to the the disruption of the school calendar caused by an internal strike.

Infact, they had to enlist those with carry-overs from the sets previous to theirs just to fill the quota allocated to them with something.

Out of the 250 slots allotted to OAU,not even up to 100 students were shortlisted.

And FYI,while AAUA is just producing her first Law School First class graduate,OAU has produced innumerable number of them.

Even not just OAU but as well as other Universities listed in your comments.
Bros, OAU is well over 50years while AAUA is not even up to 15years.
When you guys stopped underrating state unis, you would see the beauty in them.

I remember a friend told me his last thanksgiving at UNIBEN was praising God for "blocking his ways" to AAUA and "leading" him to UNIBEN, his promiseland. He made a 2.2 anyways and won't stop lamenting!

Ka ma f'oro gun sha, #amaAAUAalumni

Sometimes the way you guys reason is so so appalling!

1. OAU is an old school thus there is every chance of it producing more 1st class!!!
E.g man city defeated man utd last sunday but United have 20 epl titles to their while man city has just 4 but doesn't it mean that man utd is the better team right now? NO!!

2. A high % of bright students seek admission into all these hyped schools like OAU so that they can garner respect from their peers
So @ the end of the day if a lot of them graduate with 1st class it doesn't mean it is due to the school!!!!!! It is basically down to their intelligence

GET THIS INTO YOUR DAMN SKULL!!!!
Ode.

Did you bother reading the first part of my comment at all?

My comment was actually grounded on that..The second part was just an appendage.

And even if my reasoning were to be indeed appalling, yours would be more appalling.

Why?..In her 15 years of existence,AAUA has produced just one while within the same timeframe(15 yrs),I can authoritatively tell you that OAU has produced nothing less than five of them!

Can you now see how warped your reasoning is?

But they are not the first undecided

Faculty of Law,,University of Benin Produced same first class both in Law school and in the Faculty in 2012.

Or is it because it was not announced on CNN undecided

They are not the first and won't be the last undecided

AAUA is just producing their very first law school first class student after how many years and some people are using that to abuse federal schools. That is simply pathetic. After all the first class students that UI, OAU, UNILORIN and others have consistently produced over the years is it not good for the less privileged schools like AAUA to also enjoy the feeling of having a first class.
Consider this, one of the four first class students this year is from OAU, but it did not make headlines. why? Simply because OAU (and other federal unis) producing a law school first class is so commonplace or expected that no one is surprised or shocked by it.
But when a school like AAUA gets a law school first class for the first time in their history, out of shock and surprise, even CNN can interrupt their program to announce breaking news. grin. Its understandable that they should be happy sha but abusing federal schools is like someone who just bought his very first car now abusing another fellow who sells cars for a living.

I was creating a topic before I could finish typing those pigs called nairaland mod/admin removed it

the topic is "make your self invisible to the pigs called nairaland admin/mod"

I have about 28 nairaland accounts but they always get a ban each time I post as soon as I get a ban I quickly open another one under 1minute but before I could make a post I will see a message saying "sorry you can't do that right now try again in few minutes" wtf I never knew they know its same person through the IP or whatever but I'm an international internet fraudster and there is no dating site that I haven't registered with they can't ban because I know how to deal with them I thought naira land is different I don't know they can also detect IP whatever like the dating site where I use to play my scam and fraudulent activity I'm not surprised that those naira land mod haven't ban this account yet cause they I logged in from USA but sooner or later they will ban and hide this post but they are too late cause I know how to deal with them henceforth they can never ban me again so if you're with me on this download H. O. L. A and open any of your apps or any of your browser through it and you will never be detected on any restrictions don't download the latest version cause it doesn't do the job thank me later I'm off to get my self another nairaland account and I'm registering as a females cause its fun the more they ban the more I open na me and them go tire

State school products will always be the second grade products they are.
The article just singled out those 2 examples out of the many in the list
that might have made 1st class.
They actually made news because they were the first from their respective
schools to achieve such feat; a feat that has been eluding their schools since inception.
You didn't even have to read between the lines.....the facts were not clumsy at all.
I guess you were trained better but your inferiority complex has clouded your
verbal comprehension.

Do you have sense @ all?

They bagged 1st class in nigeria law school!

We aint talking about their alma mater!
little wonder our graduates are not regarded. Yes, they bagged first class from the NLS, but that would be the first time someone from their schools, made first class @ the NLS. It is not that someone has not made a first class there, but certainly not someone from the schools they came from.

It is just like the hype that would accompany Nigeria winning the world cup, it won't be because the world cup has never been won, but because no African nation has won it before.

Do you get it now or is there a need for me to break it down to you like a nursery school pupil?

comprehension problem? They are the first from their respective schools to achieve such feats, not necessarily the only ones. Read again !

I don't know about the Ekiti school, but this is not the first time that ABSU will be producing a first class candidate at the Nigerian law school.
