Fashola for Nigeria's Vice President 2015! We in Lagos appreciate his good works so far. He has done marvellously well. Eko no go spoil o!! |
| Re: Seven Years Of Fashola: My Take Away (1) by davitogreat(m): 6:24am On Nov 09, 2014 |
I have always seen fashola's government as a bit overrated and elitist. The fact that he is being touted as the best leader Nigeria has to offer really shows you that Nigeria still has major mountains to climb. Hopefully the next governor of lagos whether (APC or PDP) governs the state better than fashola. sidenote: One underrated governor in my opinion is Liyel Imoke. The work he has been doing in cross river state with the limited resources and the debt he inherited from his predecessor has been encouraging. I am especially impressed with the rural road and water projects, smart city initiative and the land reform project of his administration. |

Lobatan. Thank God for this wonderful piece. Presently in Lagos, the common man has never had it so bad but what we are having daily is a barrage of high end propaganda being orchestrated especially by the South West media; you dare not ask for accountability from their 'wonderful' son even as a tax payer. The fact is, Fashola perfomed below average even with the enormous resources at his disposal. It's tales of woes in Lagos for the common man and believe you me, 2015 will be very interesting in Lagos. |

My take : I will agree with point that most house hold don't have access to clean and potable water, i want to believe that the issue of water is not peculiar to Lagos alone, almost all the states i have visited have this problem. On the issue of lekki-ikoyi link bridge, Lekki toll gate e.t.c i have liittle to say about it because i am not an engineer i have little or no knowledge about it, but anyone that feels their is some underground tone about it should make use FOI to dig it out. LASU: Wow, what can i say than to say Fashola oversurprised me, i can't believe he can increaase school fees to such amount . I know of some that was affected because of the school fees, the guy just have to settle for tailoring and part time course in Yabatech. Oshodi: This place may have been cleared of hoodlums then but with the current situation in Oshodi right now, it is gradually returning back to is old horrible days. My last point for now : If paradventure PDP takes over Lagos next year (may God forbid) and they fails to probe Fashola successfully, then i will say Kudos to Fashola for a job well done in Lagos . Time to sleep |

Interesting. The hypocrisy & lies of Fashola's 8yrs regime in Lagos stinks to the high heavens. The other day, he said $1 billion borrowed from world bank was spent on street lights from Jibowu to Iddo....imagine! Private schools are springing up daily in Lagos due to inadequate schooling structures in.Lagos. $3 billion per year as income to Lagos yet no new schools, no new hospitals, commercialised public infrastructures, commercialised waste disposals, burnt low income markets rebuilt for elitist owners only. Fashola & his oga Tinubu are the most clever crooks in the history of this country. |

Fashola is the most overrated leader in the world. Truth be told, he is a massive failure when u consider the resources at his disposal. But he has mastered the act of propaganda, hence many small minds have been swayed to his side. White elephant projects are the order of the day in my state- Lagos. If you desperately need a hero, please look elsewhere, because there is none in Lagos for now. This post deserves front page, please. |

luvinhubby:...detailed, eye-opening and very objective. What's my business anyway? I don't live in Lagos and I presently don't have that in my plans. |

I said it! All his cheap China projects will be washed out in the next 3 years. The Lagos media houses did a good job painting this guy as productive but only thing progressive was his elite stand on punishing the poor and sly thievery of taxes. |

Why not ask your president why he is feeding with over 1 billion naira. Whether you like it or not fashola is the best governor at present, If only gej can work as fashola is working with all the available resources my country will be a better place to live in. |

people are blinded by the fact that they rarely see good governance. fashola's performance has been one of the blindly celebrated event/era,yet nothing tangible to show for it. u get to akwa ibom that was a typical slum about 16 yrs ago and u see the sudden developmental stride by the government in power.u dont need to be told what d government is doing with the money, u see it with ur eye. fashola is a celebrated rogue |

"have never been swayed by either the beauty of their oratory or the substance of their claim each time they claim to be working for the people because I know they only mean well for themselves and use the people as pawn in a complex game of chess to achieve their own selfish interest."That is it. The beauty of their oratory is what has fooled a lot of people. |

dridowu:Fashola abhor the mere mention of the FOI bill. Infact he even went to court to stress that the FOI bill has nothing to do with his administration since it is not binding. So much for a transparent progrethieve |

Sincere9gerian:Okay we'v heard you. Now show us the projects in Taraba state and Kebbi state. Both are PDP states, show us what their PDP governors are doing. The media attention and criticism on Lagos, Imo, Rivers, Edo and other APC state is getting too much and boring. Tell us about PDP states too. Lets know whats up in Bauchi, Bauchi state is also a PDP state |
| Re: Seven Years Of Fashola: My Take Away (1) by Arch1: 7:46am On Nov 09, 2014 |
jmaine:Okay Tell us about Bayelsa, the presidents home state. The only tarred road in Bayelsa is the road leading the government house in Yenogoa. The poor people living in the creeks at Bayelsa are still drinking and bathing with guinea-worm infested water; what is The PDP government of Bayelsa doing about it |

There are so many morons in that country. Lagos must has budgetted an average of 300 billion naira throughout fashola's tenure . The highest budget performance I have seen was 80 %. This means that the state could only fund her budget by 225 billion or thereabouts . It has got to a point that I simply ignore all these useless opinions . I keep asking the same question. Do these people honestly think that even 500 billion naira is enough for that congested city? Like I have said before , there are hundreds of ways for me to criticise fashola's government. These criticism are based on facts and on the alternative utilisation of scarce resources without disrupting current engagements. I have decided to ceasefire because there are too many loud morons around. I would rather pay attention to pat utomi's criticism of the Lagos mega city project( which would have reduced the number of morons in the metro area) than those of a nobody. By the way , did you pay 20% of your incomes as tax? If not , You have no skin in the game . You should keep quiet. |
| Re: Seven Years Of Fashola: My Take Away (1) by Arch1: 7:51am On Nov 09, 2014 |
blym4real:Dont mind them. If you go to Bayelsa the presidents home state, you will weep for the people there. The people of Bayelsa are still suffering especially those living in the creeks. Despite the small landmass/population and huge oil wealth at the disposal of the Bayelsa state PDP government; the only tarred road in the state is the road leading to the government house at Yenogoa |

blym4real:n how much do u think fash is feeding on? why do u think they deliberately refuse honourng the Foi bill, bros if fash tells u hw much he n his crew at alausa budgets for feedng every month u will drop dead. God bless nigeria |

jmaine:i knew he went to court but in case the FOI is not binding on Lagos, then i will suggest that they can make use of EFCC/ICPC ( both toothless organisation) after he might left office. |
| Re: Seven Years Of Fashola: My Take Away (1) by Arch1: 7:58am On Nov 09, 2014 |
jmaine:it exposes the foolishness of your president who claim to be tranforming Nigeria yet the only tarred road in Bayelsa, his own home state is the road leading the the government house at Yenogoa. |
