Yes, St Nicholas is another viable hospital for his diagnosis. If getting him abroad will take time, let him in a good hospital where he can be stabilised in d meantime while his visa nd other docs are bn worked out.
I really am impressed by everyone's contribution. Its bn long I see anything moved me this much.
DJ, I will continue to pray for you.

Pls what of St. Nicholas? Googled up on kidney centres and this hospital came up. Learnt they were the first to carry out kidney transplant in Nigeria

By the way,just thought of this. Who will follow him to India? the brother? If yes,he too will need the visa and passport. Am I making sense somebody? Don't let us skip that out

I have emailed a hospital that treated my relative and waiting for a response
This may be their midnight
Ours was not liver or kidney but the hospital seems to be well reputed with other specialties too
I also called someone to get a phone number to the international coordinator of that hospital that helped in my relative's case
Once I speak with them I can get a range for cost

There will be an estimate as soon as some feedback is gotten from mails sent. Yes, funds will/should not be made to their personal account any more. A seperate account should collect it. This will aid transparency.

I feel compelled to let the posters who have invested time and money and emotions and still investing to know the situation of things
I apologize on the behalf of those who went to see DJ if anyone feels they didn't report accordingly,this is very sensitive but at the same time you deserve to know.

The true picture is that DJ needs more specialized care than the hospital he is at can offer him
His liver is bad and sadly it has also affected his kidneys
Transplant is inevitable and now we have two failing organs
The care after transplant is not easy,it is long and extensive
Most importantly money is needed desperately to make this happen
Lots of money
I am therefore appealing to us all to give
Ask your mother father,godfather,politician friends,banker friends and business friends to give generously
To the politicians reading,please help save the life of this young man
The people reading here are the voters
Any politician that makes this happen for us,we will let everyone hear of this good gesture.

DJ needs us now more than ever

Thnx so much for this detailed info. Now we know d way forward. Let us hit the road running.

My dear we need plenty of money to take him to India
I am already making enquiry with a reputed hospital
Fortis Hospital in bangalore India with a history of transplants
I think this is their midnight so no response yet.

Hospitals have donors
Moreover donors have to be a good match
Let's stop complicating things
His brother will go with him,he may be a good match for him

I am not willing to part with a kidney or a part of my liver and many people here aren't either
