Bro, sorry I have to chip in. I get your point but the fact still remains that a kid born and raised in Nigeria will most likely not respond to an allegation of malpractice like that. Come on! We all know these things na. I think issues like this is why it is not that good not to have a true rugged mentality. In Africa, you don't have to be 40 to be, there are many rugged kids everywhere.

Imagine a kid that killed herself because of an allegation of malpractice! What will such do if s/he should lose both parents? It's crazy!

Sometimes ago, I was watching a film with a friend - given birth to in and had all her education in the UK. The film got to a stage and she was crying seriously. As in, she wept. I be like babe; "On top this film or another one?"

Truth of it is that all these things have to do upbringing. Well, we could say theirs is a perfect upbringing but the disadvantages of such could be heartbreaking, just like we have seen from the story. May she fare well over there...

Mounsurat Adeoye, the Mother of teen Omotayo
(pictured) who committed suicide after allegedly
cheating on a high school exam, is reportedly
placing the blame of her daughter’s death on the
high school she attended and has filed a $10
million lawsuit against the city of New York.

NewsOne reports:
"When Omotayo got busted peeking at her
cellphone while taking a German test, the teacher
allegedly snatched it away, accusing her of
cheating and yelling at her. Omotayo reportedly
burst into tears while apologizing profusely to the
instructor. A few hours after the emotional
exchange between the teacher and Omotayo,
according to police investigators, the young girl
scrawled the following words on her German
language exam that read, “I just want to go away
forever on the bottom of the river.”

"After Omotayo handed in her test paper and asked
to go to the restroom, she never returned to the
classroom.

"Instead, the teen walked to Manhattan’s Hudson
River’s edge in Harlem, placed her identification on
a rock, then plunged in to the murky waters."

According to Mounsurat, the school knew that
Omotayo had emotional problems -- since she had
attempted suicide before -- but they did not take
proper care of her.

If I was the judge, I would bankrupt her dumb arsse if she ever brings such a case my way by awarding costs claims to the defendants.

Court papers filed by Omotayo’s mom also say teachers had immediate possession of the note but that staff “...failed to prevent (the teenager) from leaving the school.”

Adeoye also accuses school staffers of waiting hours to call 911, not examining video cameras to see her departure, not starting an immediate search and not notifying her treating social worker.

She also faulted the school for not verifying that she was in fact cheating and for taking away her cell phone.

She died because of her mental illness so the mother shouldn't be trying to make profit from her death

Cut the woman some slack please...yes,she cheated,but the teacher shouldn't have yelled,for crying out loud,dts a young girl with a fragile emotion...it seems you don't know people or u find it hard caring about them,some people av fragile emotions,my younger sister who is 16yrs oldonce had a slight misunderstanding with another older female who is abt 20yrs old and my sister cried her eyes out for two days and harboured anger for a week,she is young and maybe went overboard,but d point I am making this,we all have different temperaments and for us to co exist in love and tolerance we must as much as possible learn to see them,understand them and handle such properly,I dnt knw if u av kids or young ones around especially ladies,they have fickle emotions and once its nt properly addressed could be replaced with very harsh emotions turning some into pyscopaths,serial killers,junkies and such like...the teacher is absolutely wrong for yelling at her,I believe d school has laws against teaching and punishment for cheating doesn't include being yelled out...some people especially kids hate being called out....
