Yes it is the same plan that peter obi have about that international market. I think obiano just changed the firm handling the project.

Seriously continuation in government is the best,unlike some other states where you will see abandoned projects throughout the state. My prayer is that all this mou will be fully achieved. The confidence that I have is that the first mou with coscharis for coched farms in anaku have being achieved because I heard they were recruiting(on hot nigeria jobs 19 june 2014).

They may have started work on their site,with a target of achieving 12000 paddy rice every year. God bless Anambra and IGBO land in General.

Lastly, by shoddy jobs I mean tiny roads scattered all around anambra state. For instance,the road linking igbo-ukwu to onitsha-enugu express road,oba junction to eke amichi road,and numerous others in nnewi.

To ensure speedy completion of the road leading to one of the tourist centres in Anambra State as well as boost tourism during the yuletide season, attract investors, create jobs and alleviate poverty, Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has charged the contractor handling the Ogbunike road project to complete the work on schedule or risk immediate enforcement of the contract terms.

Governor Obiano warned the contractor during an inspection of the extent of work at the Ogbunike project where he expressed dissatisfaction with the level of work done so far and directed the contracting firm to accelerate the pace of work to complete it on schedule. Warning the contractor Obiano said, “I expect you to expedite action on every aspect of this construction and we will not condone further excuses because we have given you all the necessary support to ensure you deliver the road on schedule.”

Obiano noted that the contractor complained that the delay was as a result of rainy season and stated he had extracted commitment from the contractor to deliver the project before Christmas. The governor enjoined the contractor to use the onset of dry season to increase pace of work to cover more lost grounds and meet the schedule. He noted that, when completed, the road would give people easy access to the cave as one of the important tourist attractions in the State and open the entire area as well as boost socio-economic activities of the people and area.

At the Nkissi Bridge, along Umudioka - Umunya road, the governor said the Bridge would be delivered before the end of the year and the road would be motorable while the asphalting would commence by January next year.
He added that when completed, the road would also give access to the Ogbunike Cave.

While inspecting the Umunya end of the road, the governor assured it would be completed within one month with markings and other road infrastructures that would enhance free flow of traffic and safety on the road.
He said the road has strategic importance as it links the Anambra North and Central Senatorial districts.

Nwanne, since you are the only one we have on the ground right now, endeavor to take pictures of things around you. Even if it a project built by Obi . Like Spyder who has been enriching the Enugu thread with pictures along his route to the airport. It makes a thread more interesting to get fresh pictures than the SE recycled Internet pictures over and over.
Daalu for all your sacrifice to help build up this thread.

The second one be say, I am somehow shy to be snapping pix like say I be reporter. People go dey look me like say I carry dead body for head.
The third one be say, I can't be like spyder cos spyder has easy access to movement while I don't.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
has disclosed that Anambra State
currently ranks second in the list
of states with highest number of
Micro Finance Banks (MFBs) in the
country even as the Oko Micro
Finance Bank launched its new
branch.
Speaking in Oko during the
commissioning of the new branch
of Oko Micro Finance Bank, a
Director at the CBN, Enugu
branch, Mr. Ogadi Mmeka,
disclosed that apart from Lagos
State which has the highest
number of banks, Anambra State
ranks second.
Mmeka attributed the feat to what
he described as industrial nature
of Ndi Anambra, adding that it
became imperative for more MFBs
to spring up in various parts of the
state to assist traders in doing
their business, while commending
the Oko Micro Finance Bank for
surmounting various challenges
facing the sector.
He urged the bank not to relent in
its success but strive harder to
open more branches and raise a
capital of N100 million to get to
the status of a state Micro Finance
Bank which will give it leverage to
open more branches in any part of
the state.
Mmeka further advised the
management of Oko Micro
Fianance Bank to maintain proper
quality internal control measures
through installation of ICT to
monitor the activities of the bank
and its staff to maintain high
ethical standards.
Earlier in his address, the
Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr.
Emma Udoye, attributed the
success story of the bank to what
he described as synergy between
the staff and members of the
board, which, he said, led to the
bank opening more branches.
Udoye further disclosed that the
bank decided to open more
branches to serve its numerous
customers, noting that it had
became necessary to expand its
services to accommodate its
numerous customers.
He further said the bank
surmounted various challenges to
get to the present stage because
of the unity of purpose in Oko
Community, while expressing
optimism that in no distant time,
the bank would open more
branches in other parts of the
state to serve its customers
better.
Also speaking, the Traditional
Ruler of Oko Community, Igwe
Prof. Laz Ekwueme, commended
the board, management and staff
of the microfinance bank for
expanding its services to reach out
to its numerous customers,
disclosing that it was the first
community-owned bank to open a
new branch in the state.
