I just bought LG Smart TV, it comes with freesat receiver inbuilt. It also has RF inputs (Aerial and Satellite) So I plugged my old outdoor aerial to the Smart TV and scanned. I was able to get over 40 Digital Channels which includes
Discovery World
E-Entertainment
CCTV NEWS
NTA Sports
Euro Sports
Fox
Fox Sports
Animaux
NBA TV
Setanta Africa
Nat Gao
And many more.

But all the channels are showing scramble programs.
How can I unscramble the channels?

Pls where are you located and what antenna are you using? It is very possible you are picking up scrambled channels belongng to DSTV or other operators. You might need to re-align yours antenna's position.

Like I said it is very possible you are connected to one of the cable operator's network and because you're 'decoder' in this case is not the proprietary one the cable operator would have issued out to you, the signals are scrambled.

I would advise that you connect a 1.2M dish and using the in-built decoder, try picking up actual satellite signals. You might need to enter coordinates of satellites with footprints over West Africa and relaying free content. What you're picking up now is locally broadcasted signals.

Btw ...what make is the Smart TV (model number).

LG CINEMA 3D Smart TV 32LA6210 - TD.

Ok this is a 2013 model. It should have the Dish connector so try it and see.

I use the Samsung 32 LED Satellite TV along with a 90 dish. You cannot get to view those channels with 'scrambled channel' signs showing whilst using a normal terrestrial UHF/VHF antenna.

The procedure is really not too difficult......If you are a do it yourself person or alternatively pay an installer to set up the system for you.
Your TV has installed on it a Free To Air Satellite Receiver with a pre-installed Satellite List for you to choose from so that can receive Channels such as MultiTv stations like Joy News, Joy sports, Aljezera, DW, Cine Afrik, etc for example alongside other Free to air stations that you can track with your properly aligned dishes.
First as I'd mentioned you will require a coaxial cable(s) and either 60, 80, or 90 parabolic dish or the larger 1.8 plus larger dishes as well as KU band or C-band LNBs, you could you use both dishes.
You'll thereafter need to set up the dish, affix the LNB to it and thereafter proceed to connect the coaxial cables from the LNBs to your TV.
Thereafter switch on your TV, proceed to track a Satellite such as the Astra 2b on 28.2 degree east which has channels such as the MultiTv stations mentioned above are transmitted and can be received on a Free To Air set up such as that on your TV.
I will suggest you try tracking the Astra 2b SatelliteThe Astra 2b Satellite is aligned alongside or a little away from the position of the DSTV.
Once you are successful with tracking any particular Satellite such as the Astra 2b, you then go from the menu to set up on your TV and auto-scan for and save the channels/stations on the satellites list, the same way your auto scanned to get the TV stations you got that are showing $ signs or indicating that they are scrambled channels/stations.
Once you are done with auto scan the stations would be automatically saved and you can then view them.

I currently have LGtv with inbuilt decoder, on mytv frequency, I picked over 100 channels, but mostly Churches and Access TV, ifilm TV and Press TV.
