I think they also need to look into all the roads that lead to Main market Onitsha. They are very very very bad....Sokoto road, Bida road(ebe akpuru onye army), Venn road, Niger street, Haruna street etc......especially that of sokoto road.

I love the enthusiasm of some of my brothers for the development of Anambra, but i think one of them has got it all wrong the way he attacks people whose opinion differ from his. His impatience to the views of others has really changed my mind. His approach smacks of inferiority complex and severe case of anti-social personality disorder. Why should you appear afraid of other people's opinion?

This thread is a microcosm of Anambra's real problems. You will always find mad citizens who are wealthy, but instead of their wealth being an asset to the state, they would use their wealth to disadvantage Anambra and block its development.Sort of the curse of having too many illiterate money miss roads. That is the reason i still support Peter Obi for enduring their negative attitudes and madness in order to bring decency to a place like Anambra, is no easy task. The same type of funny characters are also in Imo thread. They hate reality and lie to themselves, then reply to themselves making similar types of spelling mistakes. They just want to paint a false fairy tale pictures when we know we got work to do. Then, they accuse you of being unpatriotic and start posting pictures of obasanjo dancing or soldiers marching or ugly people from facebook if you disagree with them. This boy has psychiatric problem and needs help. So ignore his ignorant posts and continue posting useful information about streets that need government attention.Maybe someone will see your post someday. One of the biggest aims of social media is to create an avenue for the citizens to voice their views about government. Left to this guy, this thread will have long been derailed and transferred to the travel or culture section. Knowing where one's deficiencies are is part of finding solutions to fixing it.

I am sorry that i sound annoyed after viewing the previous pages of this thread. This thread was almost derailed again by the same person! Anambra has more than 10 million citizens and just one will not continue to ruin all our threads in social media. I am sure some of them are not in Anambra because all they can only post are 5-10 years old pictures from the internet. Those of you living in Anambra should not relent in supporting this thread by voicing what needs to be improved upon. That is the true patriotism, not those that ridicule your commendable efforts.

For those of them crying on where we are getting the money that is being used in building Awka into Dubai of Nigeria should not bother nor cry any further. Obiano is a technocrat, a former banker executive and a former auditor in Chevron. He knows his way round issues as this. That was why he charged the team not to be deterred in bringing the best, that they should not bother about the finances.

Already our IGR is making a major input in our budget. So a lot of money is being pulled from there for the infrastructural development. And it will continue to grow.

Anambra's development as a whole is on over-drive and nobody can stop it. We are happy to have a technocrat who thinks out of the box as our leader.

You are right...Obiano as a former Executive Banker and auditor sure knows his way on how to source for money besides Federal allocation. How he doubled our IGR in six months shocked everyone. Some of the foreign investors trooping into Anambra lately could very well be people that know him personally while at fidelity and have strong confidence in him. People like this know how to bring money into the state...this is what he did for over 30yrs.

We are blessed to have Obiano as our governor. I saw a video about his plans and marveled at his intelligence. God willing we shall get there.

You are absolutely right with the state of Sanniez, Moore and Okwei streets, hope Obiano looks into it ASAP but remember Bida road is as smooth as silk now courtesy Obi and even old Cemetery road.

The governor said the Bright St - Bida - Okwei Road, a 3.5 kilometre road, awarded to IDC Construction Company N1 billion, for which work had gone far, would be completed on or before April.

Is it that work is get to Okwei or that it has been abandoned completely? Questions surely needs to be asked since this news attests to the fact that it was awarded. Where did they start? How far did the work go? Has the work stopped; if yes, why?

1. You are a nonentity for calling Peter Obi a fraudster.
2. Have you investigated and confirmed that it's Obi's fault for whatever claims the contractors laid?
3. Wasn't that road awarded together with other ones that were done... If he is a fraudster, how much will he realize from Okwei since Bida was done?
Let me inform you a bit. When a percentage of a contract sum is paid as mobilization fee, subsequent payments are made only when some certain expectations are met as agreed in the contract terms. So if a contractor runs out of fund whilst not yet meeting the contract terms for further payment, the contractor should source for funding from somewhere else. It is only at the discretion of the governor that such funds can be released. Agreement is agreement.

That being said, since you can agree that some part of the job has been done, it means payment was actually made (whether it's mobilization or subsequent payments). Also, since you can agree that a lot of other contracts awarded by Obi are still going on and at different levels of completion, why calling him a fraudster? A man who does everything possible to prove to the whole world that a politician can be honest and walk with integrity and discipline... Someone who heralded the massive change Anambra state is experiencing at the moment; laying the foundation of the newly reformed Anambra and single-handedly fought for its sustenance by bringing us Obiano... You are calling him a fraudster because a part of a project was not done or that IDC won the contract Shame on you.
