Let’s be honest, men, and women too, have a thing about men and their height. Men want to be tall, or at least a little taller than average. And women like tall men, that’s no secret.

But what about tall women? Do all of them want men that are even taller than they are? Well, of course not. Obviously some of them do, maybe even most of them. But not all. You see some examples of this when supermodels date musicians, or actors.

But what’s it all about? Why do short guys, or even average height guys sometimes date women that are taller than them? Doesn’t it go against the established norm? Don’t couples always feel more comfortable when the man is the taller of the two?

You’d think so, but you’d be wrong, because there are some definite advantages in dating a girl that is taller than you.

The first and foremost one is that there is something very sexy and sensual about being with a girl that is taller than you are. Something you’d never know about unless you experienced it firsthand. Men get used to women being shorter than they are, whether walking around, or lying in bed. There is a certain regularness about it. But then when there is all of the sudden more woman there, it’s sort of mind blowing in that there is more to appreciate; take her legs for example, taller women have longer legs, that’s just how it works out. Legs that can seem to go on forever when you run your fingers down their length.

Also, there is something oddly erotic about simply walking down the street with a taller woman holding your arm or hand. A woman that clearly wants to be with you for whatever reason. A woman that strides when she walks or smiles when she turns to look down at you, even if only slightly. And it’s not just that she is tall, because she might not be, after all, if you’re pretty short, even an average height girl might be taller than you. It’ll be the same feeling; there you are, walking down the street with this girl that is taller than you are; it’s almost magical, as if god were smiling on you, and blessing you with the presence of this delightful girl.

Being with a girl that is taller than you, is like experiencing life with a perpetual gift.

There are of course other advantages, though none nearly so much fun. A taller girl can reach up and get things for you that are out of reach for example, or maybe do some things you’re not used to, such as pat or kiss you on the top of your head, or have to lean or bend over more often to see or get at things. That kind of stuff.

But mostly, seriously, it’s because of how it feels to be with her.

Now, I want to throw the question back out there to the very people that are wearing the shoes (and know how and where it pinches):

Guys, how does it feel dating a girl taller than you?

Among the plethora of illegitimate stereotypes (e.g "short guys" are wicked...they have their hearts on their back..blah, blah) and legitimate reasons, the one I hear ladies complain bitterly about is the fact that they have to avoid wearing heels to events and all when they are with their "short guys".

Guys, have you ever had to have your lady go on flats to that evening event, so as to make up for height differentials? How did it feel like?
Do you mind the height difference? Do you feel shy, okay, or proud holding your lady to that party, knowing fully well that she is towering over you by some few good inches (or feet?)

Ladies, your contributions are also welcomed.

As for me, I’ve once had a taller better half (by 2 inches), and honestly, it was never much of a problem. Perhaps my rich self-esteem always made up for the few inches.

Height is an amazing asset and I respect that.
But when a lady is taller than I am, I feel emasculated. It's pretty clear, I've to be the man not her.
