If you read Revelation, it is clear that God wants a savage, bloody end to the world. He wants many millions to die very violent deaths. What is the point of this? Why is God such a psychopath? He can end the world (or make it continue) however he wants.

Muslims also believe the world will come to a violent end, so in that sense Christians and Muslims share this belief.

No one knows how the world will end.



The bible could be interpreted (mostly wrongly) to give many scenarios for the end of the world.

Relevations is highly metaphorical.

What we do know is that the world will face trials and tribulations near the end. That is very clear in the bible.


However, I chose to be a 21st century religious person. Scientists and hollywood people want us to believe that we humans can find and transport ourselves to another hospitable planet in another galaxy. This scenario is even covered in the bible;

Then God will create a “new heaven and a new earth” (Revelation 21:1), which will include the “New Jerusalem” (v. 2), the capital city of heaven, a place of perfect holiness, which will come down from heaven to the new earth
