Gboliwe: Don't throw blames when the victim is another man. It could be anyone. One sharp Lagos boy told me his own story where they took him to wash money with acid. Though he knew they were fraudsters but he had only N5k with him. He just wanted to know what they will do. They prophsied to him that his uncle had N30,000 hidden in his clothes hanging on the wardrobe. The boy went home and found out exactly as they said but he didn't return any money to them.. Instead he collected N500 Tfare from the fraudsters and eloped.. 11 Likes |

This kind of thing happened to my friend sometime last year or 2years ago at the sane trans amadi. He put the money in a bag and did not realise that the money had vanished into thin air. Tho they didnt replace it with papers, I really felt for him cos it was difficult for people to believe him. Thankfully, he got a job that month and started using his salary to offset the debt gradually. It may never happen to you but it is a really horrible experience. |

Sleekyshuga: This cashless stuff has limits nah. Like yesterday, I went to purchase an item from one importer. Naira to dollar slide has affected the price. Which kind cashless do you wanna do with an Igbo man importer ? He has no POS in his office and you wan come dey form bank transfer with your smartphone abi ? Cashless is theoretical, not practical. I have only accepted such payment twice. Unless you are dealing with a close acquaintance.. 2 Likes |

Trendy247: U seem like a script writer! Ur story doesn't make real sense at all! His account his dormant? So money can't be transferred into a dormant account and later re-activated abi? Or what happened to cheque? U said ur bag was zipped, so how did A4 cut to size paper get inside ur bag unopened, or uncut ? How did the money also vanish? Are u sure u're nt on haloperidol medication? 2 Likes |

YOu just learnt a sweet lesson. Never enter cabs or bikes in front of a bank. People don't go to bank with bags to carry garbage or firewood. Anyone who comes out of a bank with a bag must be carrying money. Why make yourself an easy target? At least you only lost money. A woman, her police escort and driver were gunned down in 2010 in front of First Bank along Rumuola road at 1.05pm. I am sure you heard of that incident. Use online banking. That is why CBN created it. Personally I never move more than 30,000 in cash for any reason. If it can't be sent via internet banking, then I will issue a cheque. It is that simple. 6 Likes |
