by using prime numbers

2+3=5

3+7=10

4+11=15

I'm not saying 17 is not the correct answer, thats pretty evident (n squared + 1) solves that. I'm saying the presentation is ambivalent and misleading

04 is = 20. Explanation: 02 precedes 01 by "3", 03 precedes 02 and 01 (02 + 01) by "3" Hence, 04 should precede (03 + 02 + 01) by "3". (03 + 02 + 01 = 17) Since 04 precedes them by "3", 04 = 17 + 3 = 20. Think outside the box fellas!!!
