Scrypt:
2 - [1 - (1 - [2 - 3] - 2) + 3]

= 2 - 3 = - 1

= 1 + 1 - 2 = 0

= 1 - 0 + 3

= 2 - 4

= - 2

Start from the innermost bracket, bodmas.

PCCOLLYN:
2 - [1-(1-[2-3]-2)+3]

Using BODMAS

2 - [1 - (1 - [-1] -2) + 3]

The absolute value[] of any number is the unsigned/positive value of the number

= 2 - [1 - (1 - 1 - 2) + 3]

= 2 - [1 - (-2) + 3]

= 2 - [3+3]

= 2 - 6

= 4

We make use of BODMAS,the bracket comes first. I.E, 2- (1-(1-(2-3) -2)+3). Solution. The innermost bracket which is (2-3)=-1. =2-(1-(-1)-2)+3, =2-(1-(2-2)+3), =2-(1-(0)+3, =2-(+4) =-2

THE ANSWER IS -2

2 - [1 - (1 - [2 - 3] - 2) + 3]
2 - [1 - (1 - [-1] - 2) + 3]
2 - [1 - (1 + 1 - 2) + 3]
2 - [1 - (2 - 2) + 3]
2 - [1 - 2 + 2 + 3]

2 - [4]
-2
For those that got -2 and 4, the difference in answer stems from the bolded.
Should the bracket be expanded with minus or should the (2-2) be simplified to the to lowest form before opening the bracket like this

2- [1 - (1 - [2 - 3] - 2) + 3]
2- [1- (1- [-1] -2) +3]
2- [1- (1--1-2) +3]
2- [1- (1+1-2) +3]
2- [1- (2-2) +3]
2- [1- (0) +3]

2- [1-0 +3]
2- [1-+3]
2- [1-3]
2- [-2]
2--2
2+2
4

My verdict: First, I feel it's always advisable to simplify whatever inside a bracket to the simplest form before opening the bracket to make it easy. Second, I feel (2-2) should be simplified to the lowest form before opening the bracket. Why?
Even the OP, in the first/second step simplified the [2-3] to the lowest form before opening the bracket.

2-[1-(1-[2-3]-2)+3]
In order to deal with confusions use "bodmas".
:
:
:
2-[1-2+2+3]
2-[1-2+5]
2-1+2-5
4-6 = -2
OR
Briefly
2-[1-(1-[2-3]-2)+3]
2-[1-(1-[-1]-2)+3]
2-[1-1(0)+3] ; -1(0)=0
.'. 2-[4] = -2

That line is wrong
1-0+3 = 1+3 and not 1-+3

Proof:
1-0+3 can be simplify as (1-0)+3 OR 1(-0+3)

Hence, 1+3 = 1(+3-0) =4

That line is wrong
1-0+3 = 1+3 and not 1-+3
looks fishy. I think the zero ceases to exist and one can write 1-+3 and get -2 there. If you use BODMAS and add first the 0 to the 3 you'll have 3 with the negative sign still there as zero is a neutral number.
