I think OBJ erred in principle to influencing the PDP s primary election in Yaradua's favour. I tell you, that marks the beginning of our Economic woes. To me Yardua is one of the greatest leader Nigeria ever had. He had a health problem. And that is fundamental.

It was common knowledge even at that time, that OBJ knew Yaradua was seriously ill.

Telling lies against a man just because he is no longer here to defend himself is quite low, Obasanjo.

He is trying to distance himself from the fact that he orchestrated GEJ, to become president. He knows heis sounding like a hypocrit, with the newly aquired anti-Jonathan stance, so he is resorting to lies.

According to Iyabo Obasanjo, Obasanjo is stubborn, he believes he does not make mistakes but others do.
Obasanjo is always right but others are always wrong, you can always deceive such person with this attribute .
I still remember him saying he was deceived or tricked into attending a welcome party organised for Bode George after his release from the prison.

First, kudos to El-Rufai for writing 'The Accidental Public Servant'. That book has started a new age of political book writing by 4th Republic political actors. El-Rufai's exposé is part of the reasons OBJ feels he needs to set the records straight.

That said, OBJ has lied about his involvement in 'third term' in his three part memoir and how that led to the imposition of Yar'adua and GEJ on the Nigeria polity. Yar'adua was just OK for national leadership but sickness made him ineffective.
OBJ is probably regretting what is going on under the impotent leadership of GEJ and is hoping that his book will lead to a landslide that will take out PDP and GEJ in 2015 through the ballot box. He also wants to cripple one of his arch-rivals, the corruptible 'Atiku Abubakar'.

However, it may be gettig late for Baba Iyabo. He has to openly endorse a candidate (Buhari, anyone?), and campaign for him. Otherwise his sins against Nigeria (GEJ etc) will hunt him to his grave.

I can't wait for my copy of OBJ's book.

The great Obasanjo has done well with the revelations further cementing the fact that he's the greatest Nigerian to walk the face of the earth. I don't like him though;he's pdp and they've destroyed Nigeria. Only if Obasanjo's new life work is to destroy pdp,remove corrupt Jonathan far from Asokoro,he earns my respect.
I'll definitely buy the book.

The Constitution made it clear that for anybody to qualify as a deputy, he must also have all that is required of the main boss and I believe it was for unforeseen circumstances as the demise of Yar'Adua. If GEJ wasn't competent enough, why make him the deputy? Why did you fight tooth and nail to see he was elected in 2011?

We all understand GEJ wanted to be his own man and learnt to be assertive now Dr. Of letters done mature to Novelist.

Yeah, Yar'adua would have turned down the presidency offer knowing that his health could not carry it instead he goatishly picked up the offer. I hate it when people say that obj knew that Yar'adua will die, is he the giver and taker of life? Nonsense! Nigerians, use your senses. You are giving undue credit to this obasanjo.

If he is bringing out people's skeletons, he should not exclude his own.
