Justwise, the OP is very honest and interesting and I wonder why he decided to go for fake marriage. I think it has to do with peer-pressure. cheesy

The other guy, who talked about his passport being washed or something was absolutely lying. So I didn't want to say much.

If mind reading is your job then start looking for a proper job. This is like predicting the result of a football match after the match has been played.

It is absolutely well with my soul... When i had looked on my experience abroad(UK) i tell my goodself that i really tried! An immigration officer that handled my case was totally dumbfounded because she couldn't ascertain why i have gone for the sham marriage. She never stopped talking about my immigrantion history which she really admired: if she was to be theresa may, she would let me gocheesy but its totally out of her jurisdiction( she just called my name and said "accept the slap"wink;( and i did by signing documents to return to mother Nigeria. Someone talked about impatient! Yes you are right about but i dont want to believe your second name to be JOB. When you got no helping hand and its just only you, if i had not got any work permit from nigeria to study in the uk with student visa as well, i might not travel as it will be extremely hard for me cos i know where i have come from. I went to UK to study and work as well to support my studies. But i had the work permit and genuine visa and everything is going fine until they stopped immigrants working while studying as they thought immigrants was taken away jobs from their people.. Ask me what kind of job, odd jobs that students do to partly support themselves. I have been to the UK and i thank them very much indeed for giving me the opportunity in the first place. I will always confess that i was made a criminal cos of what the UK govt believe and not because of what i have done

Read well before you give people wrong adverse, sham marriage is illegal and its a crime.

I am not a lawyer, and neither are you I suspect.

My argument is premised on this logic:
1) two people enter into a legal binding marriage contract >> 2)The system determines that this marriage was intended to get unfair access to the goodies of the system>> 3) the system goes ahead to block the privileges that could be got from this marriage contract.

Question/Idea 1)
Although the system has activated logic 2 and 3, was the marriage at Logic 1 annulled, i.e deemed to have never existed in the eyes of EU law or has there been a legal divorce?

If it is still legally deemed that they are married then it comes with some universal privileges whether na sham or not. Depending on the region, such privileges can be switched on. Look at the article on sham marriage and you would see how tricky it is. I doubt if anyone as actually challenged it. Maybe because rich folks who can challenge it don't need to follow that route.
Some old men get married to young ladies so that they can have carers. While the young ladies are after inheritance.

Question/Idea 2)
The OP was told to sign a document.
He does not say that he was taking before a court of law. It is possible that in the document, he decided to wave some privileges that the marriage would have got him in exchange for some soft landing.
So what would make sense is to review what soft landings were granted him. Not all data is shared even within the UK just like that.

Idea 3)
I narrated a case were someone was banned from travelling to the UK for 10 years for what the UK deemed as a crime -falsification of document
I'm not praising the person for doing this. However the person travelled to the US recently and might be relocating to Canada soon
I am aware that the person wasn't quick to write a narrative to the US embassy of how she was banned from travelling to the UK

What suggestions do you have to share? Do you rather we stone him to death

You really need to stop attending night school and do some home reading, when does sham marriage becomes legally binding marriage? Which system legalized it? A marriage was deemed illegal by UK law and you are here writing pages of theories.

You can still travel to other countries but you will struggle to get a visa to any Schengen country, US and Canada. You still have to declare your previous immigration record whichever country you are applying to.

shengen ke? not sure. My cousin was given a ten year ban by uk immigration for putting false docs in his application. 3years later, he got malaysian visit visa (or one of those close countries dt has sian in d name). he went, spent two weeks and came back. applied for student visa in norway and is currently in norway wit student visa.

What i cannot say for sure is if he changed his name on passport.

Put on you thinking hat dude, and let go of the emotions ok

A marriage is entered into some records.
That record has to be expunged for you to be considered not married.

The question remains.
Has the records been expunged?
Has it been re-recorded as never happened, or ceased from happening forthwith?

The next line of reasoning becomes what view do other sovereigns have of this marriage record or 'illegality'.

This is the kind of gap that the OP should explore

As for your inference on night schools..
what does that have to do with the topic? Does it make you feel good throwing such around?

Stick to the reason for the thread please...ok

Hmmm, this is interesting! You were banned from the UK and according to you, Wales and Scotland are not part of the UK? Do you mean they are separate from the UK and they have a Scottish and Welsh embassy in Nigeria where you can go and apply for a visa? Hmmm grin grin grin, just observing.

You are simply an ignoramus fellow, op story is apsolutly correct in fact there are too many victims like this,

This guy never do any thing wrong, the system made it look as if he commited crime, the European law says if u are in civil relationship after blablabla you are instilled to stay in the country legally.

The problem here is what the uk board believed cos the guy says he is married to a French lady although you must be living to gether but hang on how many couples in Nigeria lives in port harcourt while their wife is on Abuja or Lagos, the answer will be too many.

Ops problem is May be the lady is no where to be found or some of them are very silly if the uk board officer screw them and some times promise them one or two juicy promises they will open up and tell them that may be they ware giving money.

Had it been op had pregnanted any lady there his Tory for change under article 6 that is human right, some of our commentators here are very ignorant of the subject matter that why they are making blonders.

Obviously you are actually the ignorant one here. These people are not married, he wanted visa and she wanted money in exchange for it and at process of doing that they were caught. its sham, it's fake Marriage and the EU or British law do not recognise it.
Article 6 of EU convention on human right does not deal with right for private and family life, Artcle 8 does.

Thanks for correcting me it's article 8 for British law and article 6 for European law which is as well called ZH Tanzania, by the way since I have been following this thread i have never heard of any but here mention about the articles that aply to this matter, I know what I'm saying pretty well

Again you are wrong, there is nothing like article 8 for British law and 6 for EU law, article 8 deals with the whole EU member states, article 6 got nothing to do with this issue.

Hello I just read your post I can 100 percent assure you that your deportation from the Uk will not affect future applications to other countries. I personally know some folks who got deported from the Uk to Nigeria and still got Schengen visas . Long as you are still in possession of your passport that has your student visa in it , you are in good hands. Secondly the Uk and shengen don't really share information on petty stuff like that only if you have an International warrant or you wanted by Interpol then you got a problem. All I can say to you is be smart when filling out future visa applications. Yeah one more thing you can't apply for an Irish visa cos they tight buddies with the Uk... all the best man....
