Buhari's Declearation Of Assets. More Food For Thought by BobNeli(m): 2:19am On Dec 14, 2014
Firstly, let me state cathegorically that I am a politics non-partisan because I am a carrier guy. Dnt bother about my carrier yet because it will surface soon and everybody will witness. Moreover, I am a South-Eastherner residing in the North. And that also makes me a Nationalist rather than a tribalist. -I actually have had no time commenting on any political issue but this particular thing has pushed me beyound restrictions. I atleast remember that I'm still a Nigerian and that the attainment of our lofty heights rests on all of us. The emergence of Buhari from the APC primaries was highly esteemed and warmly welcome with great expectations that atleast, this PDP of a party will surely have a good run for their worth. Eventhough I never had intrest in politics, I found my self for the first time discusing with freinds, how Nigeria is gradually approaching rational democracy. It is no longer going to be a one party afair. It is no longer going to be, some gladiators imposing their candidates on the entire populace and manipulating the polity to favour their personal agrandisements. A lot went through my mind and I was happy. Although I didnt know Buhari very well because, during his military dictatorship, I was yet a todlar. But judging from what people say, I held him in high esteem. Meanwhile, I'm a thorough guy. Admist I dnt have time delving into people's lives but I grab opportunities to know what I have to Know. And the latest declearation of assets attributed to my highly esteemed General, has left me with more food for thought than for the stomauch. My spirit was greatly disturbed to learn from the uncalculated statements, refered to as declearation of assets of our prospective leader, the level of accademic, integrity and moral decadence our dear nation has attained. I asked my self. Where lies our hope, when the people we so revere and seem to repose our confidence in, have practically nothing to add to our lives. They seem to have no rational IQ, no economic records, no integrity and clueless in speaches. People that fail to recognise when they betray their weaknesses in a bid to attract sympathy for votes. Prospective chief executive officers of the entire Nigeria's economy. (ie. Chairman, board of directors. The Nigeria company). Who has no sound economic inteligence, nor record to show his capability of steering the ship of this nation to our promised land. Or how am I going to explain the fact that someone at Buhari's exposure and age, had been able to achieve but N6m in his entire sourgeon into the business world? But thinks he can manage a company with a workforce of over 160million people. I am talking about a general whose salary both as a general and former head of state was much morethan the said amount he claims to have as reserve. If he could not make savings from his salaries as a general in the army, a former head of state, and a petroleum minister. Then what is the probablity that our foreign reserves will not run empty under his administration? This is butressed by the fact that the only three properties mentioned in his assets declearation, were financed with borowed money. Meanwhile, someone that has been so revered as straight forward, who could not be precise with his speech, I think still have something to tell us. "I have atleast N1m left in my account". Leaves the audience with, how much actually are you talking about? I asked myself after reading this statement. "Is it just to attract sympathy for votes? Or to throw people off the scent?" There seem to be something hidding under the smoke screen. Well, that notwithstanding. How can a man vying for the office the president of the most popolous black nation of the world, indulge in unsound economic ventures? Like, investing N5.5million out of a total N6m and some fractions of his overal savings in an unsure investiment? Is that how our meager resources will be managed in the next four years? However, we still know that there are no facts to butress the truths in these declearations. Instead, a lot of contradictions abound. Earlier this year, we heard that Buhari borrowed N25m to purchase his nomination form. But now, the story is, out of his reserve N6m, he took out N5.5m. Where is the credibility in the statements? Well, if you ask me, I will say that general Mohamed Buhari is just but bankrupt. And simply seeking avenues to overcome his bankruptcy. We are not surprised that he will be, after so many years away from the coridors of power. These generals hadly plan their lives. Always believing that they will forever live on the nation's economy. And when anything happens to put them off. They're left destitute.

Rubbish from the op.

Show us proof that the so called "asset declaration" came from Buhari himself. If Buhari did declare his asset, you would have found it on Sahara website. In the so called asset declaration, there was mention of 5.5 million naira to buy nomination form, was APC nomination form sold for 5.5 million naira? Some people are out there to make mischief. Buhari is here to stay. He ain't going anywhere. He's going to become the next President. He is the Lincoln of our time.

By the way, why would Buhari declare his assets through Governor Amosun's facebook account? Have you asked yourself this question?

The point is that the OP is still having a hangover and it looks certain the effect won't wear off soon.

Well, Going by the number of posts created for this man Buhari, I can categorically state that some are very ''uneasy'' about it.

OP..Why would Buhari declare assets with Amosun's Facebook page?
Did he (Buhari) get APC nomination form with =N=5.5M?
Which Newspaper carried it?
Who heads assests declaration unit, was he there?
I am just passing my view, but am sure he didnt declare his assets.

It's among my baffling thoughts. Why should he declare even when not asked. Was he just trying to buy the sympathy of people with such a reflex action? Well, like I pointed out in my post. I am not into partisan politics. And therefore may not know much. I am really more focused on my carrier than on the lives of individuals, bristerling with prejudice and self-centeredness. But as a patriot, I decided to air my views on a rat I smelt. If someone else other than Buhari and crew put that piece up. Then Buhari should do something fast to clear his name off the mess. And if perchance he mistakenly said all that. I doubt therefore his competency to lead Nigeria. But I must tell you that there is something congruent with the lives of these Army generals. They hadly remember to put their economic and financial support in other. Remember Obj. Before he was elected in 1999, he told Babangida and co that called him to represent the intrest of the military, that he had but N20,000 left in his acct. Irrespective of how much the economy he looted from 1976 to 1979. Evident of his looting showing in his mega rich status today after taking up the mantle of leadership once again. Atleast, he ammased so much wealth to be able to acquire coconut wolf. As well as finance Ota farm that was habitating weeds, to yield morethan N30m in profits per month. These generals are always careless and carlous. Maybe due to the fact that they wielded so much power which gets them intoxicated and they forget to do things right and put even their backyards in other. If we can remember, Obj's leadership was mared with bullying and decree kind of power, reserved for the military. In the way he handled the Udi masacre which still yielded no positive results, but was world-widely condemned. I do not think that we still need military blood in our nacent democracy.

Na wa oh!
Op is displaying the same Otuoke corrupt values and mentality we all are tired of and want to rid from Aso Rock.

According to OP's logic: GMB cannot be trusted to preside over our vast national economy because he failed to amass huge amount wealth for himself given the opportunity to do so when he held office as petroleum minister and head of state.
In other words GMB was a failure because he didn't loot from our common wealth (or else how was he expected to have acquired the formidable amount of wealth to satisfy the OP and his ilk) - can you imagine?

what imagination are you refering to, my hounorable freind? First of all, let me thank you for your articulated question. And my answer is, must a man steal to be able to establish? If u understood my message very well, I siad his salary, not his loot. Well, morals have taught me that charity begings at home. And therefore, a man who can not manage his little economic resources to break off the shackles of poverty. A man who only resorts to borowing to achieve the elderado of his dreams. I mean one who cannot discover his God's given treasures, put them at work and manage them economically to overcome poverty and bankrupcy, is not capable of managing public and or any joint ownership. Becaue he will fail.
