From my balcony I can see another procession of trucks with loud speakers for yet another church program this December and I'm so glad. Not my church (what is 'my' church) but someone, some people paid for the trucks, the generators, the speakers, the music, the handbills and flyers so that no matter what the event is all about, at the end of each session, of each day, an altar (alter) call will be made and someone will get a shot at knowing Jesus. Poster, let the man keep his money. Those of you who give have saved numerous souls from death that you know not of but will be credited to you on the day of reckoning.

There is a grt diff btw Christianity n religion .
N if out of 12, there was a theif, there r bound to be thieves among millions but THAT SHOULD NOT MAKE U ROBE D WHOLE CHRISTIANDOM WITH INSULTS.

The pentecost/charismatic Pastors in nigeria who preach the prosperity gospel preach a fake gospel.

All this preacher forgot one word and that is love.

God didnot need our money God wants that we love our neightbor like yourself.

Prosperity gospel and corruption working hand in hand.

People give their first fruit to the pastor and than take bribe that they can pay their bills.

Please don#t tell me that a person can live one month without money.

Giving is biblical both tithe and offering. Even 1st fruit too is biblical.bring all thy substance into the store house, the store house can also be attributed to the Church, the needy and those in prison. You have your reasons why you don't wanna give and you accuse pastors so you can have enough reason not to pay your tithe and offering. Many persons have had strange encounter from just giving. You better learn to give today and remove that devilish heart that is telling you not to give because you want to know what your tithe is being used for after you have paid them.

actually for nysc xtian corper it depends cos really I saw d need of parting away with dat cash. I served in d north n u can c d level of backwardness around dat region. Hence its good to penetrate into dere lives n make reasonable impact dat can open dere eyes n b free from any shackles of religion, political domination more so av free will to decide for demselves

I remembered then in my church @school while i was still an undergraduate whereby our PASTOR then was saying giving to the poor,needy or beggars and the likes is not recognised by God,it made me feel bad then because i gave to these people with freewill while expecting nothing in return,all my pastor-then said was that only church should receive our this and that,though i liked the pastor,but tru the pastor stay in the church,i always listened to her teachings with ONE EYE CLOSED,ONE EYE OPENED.

Stop bothering about who I give my money to. Give your money to whoever you want while I do mine. It works for me. If people didn't give to the church,the church wouldn't have had a property to buy for us to worship in,they wouldn't have had instruments with which service is conducted with,etc. God will not jump from heaven to build a churxh for man to worship in,he won't come down from heaven to donate drum sets and equipments,etc. The needy can't afford to put these things in place,the needy can't afford to give pastor money for church decoration for christmas,etc.

He knew what the money was used for, it was not used to line up the pockets of thieves and robbers parading as pastors, it was not used to build more magnificent buildings and call them churches, it was not used by MOG to lodge in the most expensive hotels and eat in 5 star restaurants, IT WAS USED TO CATER FOR THOSE WHO HAD NEEDS.

Read on :

"For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales and lay them at the apostles' feet, and they would be distributed to each as any had need.…" - Acts 4:34-35

Note :

1. It was the haves who sold their property and lands and brought the money to the apostles feed not the have nots
2. The Apostles did not count the money in a hidden room and put it into a bank account
3. The Apostles actually distributed ALL the money to ALL those who had need so that there was no needy person among them.

Bottom line : If we are tithing, sowing seed and paying firstfruits to these churches and there are still needy people among us, it is because the MOG and Pastors are thieves and robbers and misappropriating the funds for their personal empires and pockets.

They are always looking into other peoples' wallets raving and ranting at what they give in church. No one is ever forced to give. If they donot want to why seek to prevent others. What is the agenda. They are terrified at the explosive expansion of the church this end times and donot want to be left alone to face the music. Bad news. You will be left alone. Well, everything boils down to understanding. I'm not under any law to pay tithe or first-fruits or whatever; I simply lovingly give.

Tithe and firstfruits have no place in the NT church, but those who do these things willingly will be blessed. I don't do any. I do not condemn those who do, either. I'm not under any obligation to give.

When you love God, you will give more and more.

Despite the offerings and firstfruits being contributed, no church has built the kind of magnificent temple king Solomon built. The bible even said that it was extraordinary beautiful that even the glory of God came down upon it. Remember, those people that donated over-contributed what they have towards the building.

To my own understanding, this generation has given just little compared to the generations in the bible. Read exodus 36:2-7. Now if pastors are insisting that you give, it is for your own good. Not only for financial prosperity but for many other things. Look at the story of tabitha(Dorcas) Act 9:36ff, she was revived from the dead due to the testimony of her charitable giving.

Let's leave what d pastors use the money generated for. Remember, heaven recognizes any little amount of your giving. God who sees you in private will surely reward you openly.

Another misapplied scripture and good case of scripture twisting.

The temple is gone now, we are now the temple of God, no more the physical buildings. Besides God is everywhere, the way some of you glorify church it almost seems as if God can only be found in church.

We do not need to build more physical structures, we need to rebuild more lives.
