Why is it that when a lady marry, she refuse to remove her fathers name?
Instead she puts her name first, her fathers name second, then her husband name. Just like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala

The reason is because most are known by that name before getting married eg Omotola Jolade now Ekeinde.

Before, if u mention Omotola Ekeinde people wouldn't know who you are talking about.

This is mostly used by celebrities or those that have fine surnames eg Eniola Douglas or Chioma Smith

I really don't know why some people do the things they do but reasons of doing them is known to them. What other people do in their marriages should not be anyone's concern as long as both the man and woman are comfortable with the way to choose their marriage to be. So if a man is comfortable allowing his wife bear her father's name after marriage, that should be his problem and cross not anybody. And if you are not comfortable with it, discuss with your partner before marriage and if she does not accept, there's no crime in moving forward and letting go.
