Nigerian Aviation has been bastardise beyond repair and I am saying this with all form of modesty and honesty. Stella Oduah wreck infinitesimal havoc in the aviation sector that it would take decades for the aviation agencies i.e NCAA, NAMA, FAAN, NIMET, AIB,NCAT to make headsway as politicians has infiltrated these agencies thus derailing their core mandates which establish these agencies.

For the past 10 years, I can authoritatively infer that none of the aviation agencies have done recruitment publicly, rather, successive ministers has hijacked the recruitment process by bringing enmass all their proteges and sons and daughters from their clans.

I can authoritatively say that the acting DG who employed these people has the backing of some top politicians. Or how could one reconcile the fact that a graduate of 2011, who did her nysc in 2012-213, was placed on level 17 which is equivalent to General Manager A girl of 28 years old sitting at the Management meetings with no experience whatsoever. This has been happening until Stella Oduah escalated it by bringing over 800 people with no educational attachment to aviation and shared them into all those agencies, she even dip her hands into the BASA fund which has been saved for decades and wiped off everything amounting to 500million dollars....is that not the money she want to use to campaign as a senator

The last straw of it is that I saw during d fund raising ceremony for Jonathan where aviation agencies donated 1B naira....it now dawned on me why Chidoka was deplored to aviation....since he resumed, there was no training any longer both within and outside, no contract could be awarded, Infact, he now position himself as d alpha and omega of the aviation agencies, thus stiffening the financial prowess of these agencies. little did we know that all these things were being done to save money for d fund raising of GEJ

As rich as aviation is in this country, their staff collects the least salaries and allowances in all the agencies in this country...very pathetic and shameful

There was a case of a General Manager Salaries in one of the Aviation agencies who was working with another person's certificate for years.

How can you reconcile an Agency employing more lawyers than the defunct EFCC?

The case is not limited to Stella alone. I can tell you that most of her employment were not her candidates alone but came from politicians irrespective of party affiliations.

There is also the case of the management team abusing recruitments.

A serving director put his son who was yet to graduate from the university on employment as a graduate. His son later did his NYSC under the same organization and was collecting both NYSC allowance, stipends from the organization as well as salary. It's not like the guy needed the money after te father has looted the organization dry. To make matters worse on completion of his NYSC program the boy was given automatic employment ( back dated to the time he was still in school) and automatic scholarship was approved for him to do his masters abroad.

This is how rotten the useless civil service is.

Funny thing is that majority of these recently employed staff do not need the job for the money. They come to work as when they deem fit since most of them have godfathers in the system.

The politicians have also turned govt employment to where they compensate their girlfriends and concubines.

The federal character bullsh1t is what is causing all this rubbish.

If any agency wants to conduct employment they send a letter to all the state governors requesting candidates.

They do this to both ensure federal character and also curry favor from these politicians. The governors, senators, all have slots.

At the end of the day employment into the civil service is now strictly on "man know man" basis with hardly any merit attached.

If an organization is requesting for professionals but the governor only has people who did not study the relevant course, provisions will be made in the spirit of federal character to include the governors candidate. This is usually the case which leads to an over bloated support staff base who end up playing solitaire and Zuma in between using free wifi to update their narsistic Facebook status without doing a single productive job or adding value to the system.

When NEPA was unbundled, these same redundant workers held the whole nation to ransom for months.
