I have noticed a terrible thing in the land of Nigeria. Both adults and children calling people they have no relation to Mummy and Daddy because they are Pastors or Men of God. I am not quite sure why this is the case, but let us call it the Church Daddy and Mummy syndrome. So tell me, why do you call your Pastor Daddy and his wife Mummy, are they your parents What have they done for you in this life that has bettered you as a person. When last did they pay your children's school fees, come to your house, pay your rent, or help in any financial form or shape.Do you honestly think they care about you ? If you do then think again. Anyway, floor now open, why do YOU call your MOG Daddy and his wife Mummy ? |

Especially given the fact that Jesus clearly instructed his followers not to call their religious leaders 'Father'. |

PastorKun:As much as this topic represent ways at which people have moved from the stipulated rules that guide the church, I don't think we should encourage this OP any further. The OP's spiritual condition is worse than these people at this point in time. |

shdemidemi:lol ![]() So says the fake teacher who believes that tens of millions of African ancestors are going to hell because they were predestined for that fate , even though they never heard about Jesus. Add to that your false doctrine on once saved-always saved and original sin which even damns babies to hell and you are left with no other label but that of a HERETIC. ![]() |

frosbel:you are throwing your fist in combat style already . I hope no one fall for all your hate propelled threads that does you or the body of Christ no good. Who really listens to a sinking man who sees everything from a bitter point of view? These people are wrong quite alright, who says your 'abandoned garage loose dog' approach will change them? Go and accept your bible as the complete and inherent word of God before attempting to point people to the right path. |

shdemidemi:No, I am only saying the truth. 80% of Christendom will label you a heretic on the once saved-always saved doctrine alone, not to talk of the rest.. And what makes me laugh is how religious hypocrites like you never take time to educate the 'foolish', instead you castigate, insult and abuse them , a clear sign that you do not have the spirit of Christ which was teachable, humble and kind. Go and chew on that one. Go and read Hebrews 5:2 and start following good examples not John Calvin who killed one of his good friends. ![]() |

| Re: Daddy And Mummy Church Syndrome by shdemidemi(m): 2:18pm On Dec 23, 2014 |
frosbel:There is absolutely no basis for discussion between you and a christian. The Word of God remains the final authority and the only guide to godliness and perfection. You have since swerved from the guide to vain philosophy and human logic hence there is no biblical ground for a discussion with an unbeliever of the Complete Word of God. |

I have to say this even though somebody may think I talking against the Yorubas. The Yorubas started this mummy and daddy nonsense through their church( RCCG ) and from their it spread like wild fire to every other church except Christ embassy. Imagine a student calling a fellow student mummy and daddy. Nigerians have sold their brains. |
