Ngwakwe: He told them N10bn at the budget presentation which happened well over two weeks ago That's what Daily Independent reported in my OP and all lawmakers present took note of that I'm not from Ogun but I have investments there and very senior people in government Just even listen to yourself. A state that generated N4bn last year plans to generate N1.5bn or thereabout next year and you don't think there's a problem |

geeez: Ogun targets N36 Billion tax revenue in 2015 The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service on Tuesday in Abeokuta said it generated N15.14bn between January and October, 2014. The agency however added that it had mapped out plans to generate N36bn in 2015. http://abujavoice.com/ogun-targets-n36-billion-tax-revenue-in-2015/ |

Ngwakwe: I don't know which budget presentation you and your cohorts attended The links below is evidence of what was presented in November with a video included from Channels TV http://www.channelstv.com/2014/11/18/ogun-state-proposes-210-35billion-naira-2015-budget/ |

geeez: There is no account of revenue generated in 2014 from the link you quoted rather a projected N90 billion for 2015 by the Governor The link I quoted is this week's budget defence by Ogun State Internal Revenue board while you quoted November rundown. Let me help you on what I suspect The N36 billion may be on income tax only (probable) They may have excluded revenues from levies, duties and permits (assumption) |

MudRaker: If you are not intelligent enough to understand what is written then have the humility to refrain from claiming that others are "lying". That thread, even as I did not contribute to it, confused virtually all posters who responded to it. The thread talked about income accruing to Ogun through taxation. Any averagely intelligent person will know that IGR (internally generated revenue) is not limited to collection of tax and levies. The problem with Nigeria currently is that divisive and desperate politicians have enshrined politics of rancour and hate many have embraced to the extent they cannot even engage their thinking faculty adequately. They just support and oppose blindly and even illogically. http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/internal-revenue.html internal revenue |
