onatisi:Imagine a so called incorruptible saint saying Abacha was not corrupt If he wasn't corrupt, then were did all the repatriated loots of Abacha came from? Donation from his family? What a classic Hypocrite. Very easy for him to accuse GEJ's administration of corruption and embezzlement yet difficult for him to admit that Abacha's regime was corrupt. Now we can see why Buhari was selective during he's so called fight against corruption as a military dictator. He selectively jailed individuals he regarded as "Enemies" of imaginary corruption and looked the other way when he's friends and family members were involved. Well, I always knew him to be totally corrupt himself. All this acts, of claiming poor and begging for loans from banks is nothing but a ruse. Buhari is not POOR as he wants people to believe. After all, birds of the same feathers (Buhari and Abacha) stroll together. I won't be surprise to hear pa Buhari say IBB and Tinubu are not corrupt next year. |

According to the report: "Buhari, in his own comments yesterday, described the allegations of looting against Abacha as "baseless", because according to him, "ten years after Abacha, those allegations remain unproven because of lack of facts". Was abacha convicted in the court of law? Does he have opportunity to defend those allegation? If we can not answer these questions with evidence then we can not conclude that He looted. |

The FG explained time & time again that Moh'd Abacha was not d offender but his dad - Sanni FG dropped d charges when Moh'd agreed to willingly refund d money, d litigation would have costed d country over $200m For your info, they didn't just drop d case, they settled out of court. pendy79: |

fkaz:bros see eh, in saner clines people say/do things wrong, when they're being truthfully by people including those that love them, they apologise and change life goes on. I've been watching as u twist this glaring fact all these while. Our attitudes(helping them to manipulate their wrong deeds) is what makes these political criminals to continue in impunity. To the best of my knowledge things similar to plea bargains or such have been entered with the abacha's to help recover the funds (it only means he's not being pronounced a thief in legal stance, 'cos if he's alive it would've been a different ball game). Then with the new wave of defense we see, should buhari be elected tomorrow hope he'll be criticized for us to get better governance or his wrongs won't be wron-doing. As gej is being criticized in his wrongs from north to south, let there be stand in unism to do that to all, so we can achieve good governance for our country. Thank you God bless nigeria |

General Buhari keeps showing how old his brain really is. With international monetary agencies and government returning Abacha's loots to Nigeria, he still says Abacha needed looted. Dear sir, you have no moral reason to enter Aso Rock . |

Of course, Abacha stole. The General was only being courteous and diplomatic since it was Abacha's remembrance. I believe in his heart of hearts he knew Abacha indeed stole aplenty. |

pendy79: Bastard. You are busy abusing peoples' fathers and mothers for daring to ask you to prove the allegation of corruption been labelled by you and your terrorist mentor Buhari. Agreed the president is covered by immunity, what stops Buhari and his satanic APC from writing petition to EFCC or ICPC and use same to initiate impeachment against the president if they are so sure of themselves? Were you deaf or dumb when a Senate committee made up of APC and PDP members came out with a report that refutes the phatom $20 "missing" NNPC money? How reliable was Sanusi for fiddling with $48billion and then $20billion figures? Animal like you and your APC mentors will perish in mischief and sycophancy. Idiot. |

If your father was able ti pay the little sum of money to educate you, you would have realize he got a worthy insult for throwing an insult first. I dont relate with dullards and no hopers, you smack of the malaise that have bedevil your lineage from generation if not you won't be asking APC to initiate charges at EFCC and ICPC to impeach the da.ft one. Did you read before posting at all? Don't you think you ought to seek divine intervention in your case so the curse of stupidity ends with you? Useless son of a nonentity that does not deserve being amongst comity of human beings. |

pendy79:You have inadvertently, and ironically, admitted by your post that indeed Gen Abacha looted untold amounts from Nigerian treasury using his children and surrogates. Regardless of whether Buhari exonerated him or not. Truth indeed is a sacrosanct. But wait a minute, during his regime as Head of State, why was Buhari not as gracious to extend same innocent-until-proven-guilty dogma to Lateef Jakande and Pa Adejunle Ajasin, two very upright and honest politicians in the progressive fold, who never stole a dime. Why did he railroad them to jail without court trial. Another classic Buhari method of separate corruption yardsticks for separate individuals, depending on where you come from. You are not being truthful by saying that GEJ govt, and by extension OBJ's govt gave up N40b. Not sure you even have the full facts and figures. Because these funds were salted away mostly in Swiss, Austrian and Liechtenstein banks. If you have been following the news, these countires have been returning what came to be known as "the Abacha loot". Do a simple google search, get the truth and shame the devil. Mohammed Abacha nolle prosequoi was diligent and deliberately executed deal to recover the Abacha looted funds, rather waste government money in a web of long-drawn legal battle in foreign law courts. It was a process started during OBJ's tenure. GEJ govt simply concluded those deals. Go and ask Oby Ezewkesili, El-Rufai and Nuhu Ribadu. Ribadu himself has said a lot about this looted funds recovery process. They originated it. |

As anti-GEJ as I am, Buhari has to explain what he meant by this interview or better still recant. There is no defence for this buffoonery. Abacha took stealing to a new high. His records are unsurpassed even after his death. |
