The presidential election is around the corner and tension is increasing by the day. Each individual or groups prefers one candidate to the other. Even terrorist group Boko Haram, would prefer one candidate to another but the question is who?

Jonathan, Because they are having so much success under him.

BH would vote for GEJ no doubt.

In my opinion, Boko Haram will prefer Jonathan presidency for their relevant. Jonathan being a professed Christian is one of their first ideological recruitment drive. But with Buhari they will lose that and he won't lose any sleep wiping them out.
Unlike Jonathan whose cautious approach was a disaster because he doesn't want to upset some northern establishment who he needs for his re-election. That is why, when it came to the crunch he decided to sacrifice Ihejirika instead giving him his support.
But bad news for Boko Haram is that, if Jonathan wins, his second term could be different because he has no re-election to worry about this time. But I doubt if has the courage to do so.

Definitely, boko haram will prefer GEJ winning the election cos they are able to claim and accumulate their much needed ground and attention under his administration. Of course boko haram has been existing before GEJ came to power. Boko haram in GEJ's administration is just like a mycobacterium tuberculosis in blood agar

Since when does the likes of Boko Haram wants peace? Boko Haram is in business because of lack of peace. If you bring in peace, they are out of business.

Boko Haram has been around before Jonathan became even a vice president. Until their leader was killed by the police coupled with Jonathan's lack of will to act because of his love of power and toppling of Ghadafi which helped them acquired sophisticated arms from Libya, Boko Haram was restricted to minimal violence around Borno alone.

In the 80 we had the Maitasine too that invaded Gongola slaughtering people and government then met and replied them with full force and crushed it within a month.
