Thanks Abbey.

By course, do you mean a course you want to study here in US? If yes, it should be an IT-related course, i.e MS in Information Technology, MS in Information systems, MS Computer and Networking Security, MS Cybersecurity e.t.c. The program needs to be IT-focused. It is a very good thing that you have your CCNA already. That's a big plus on your resume.

Use those course names as keywords in your google search and you'll get good and affordable schools offering those programs.
Tank u sir

Yap. Maryland is one good place to concentrate all your school search efforts in - afterall, it is one of the IT capitals of US, few minutes drive to the white house (DC), IT jobs are plenty here, ease of getting an IT job on graduation. Why shouldn't one try to get a school here? Cite those reasons and the visa officer will bow in huge acknowledgment (shame acutally, that you know more of the US than her grin). wink
my oga am going for undergraduate degree.

i chose all my schools within 1 state illinois...though i still have options to change if i want to.....i just want to know if its alright

Hi everyone! Happy new year. Glad we're here now, we'll see more years to come, amen. Got to the US safe and sound but I still need your urgent advice. Got admission to Murray State University but I have plans of changing school to Bowling Green or Ohio State University. Please do I need to resume with Murray first for a semester before I change school. I feel it's going to be kind of a waste of money and time. Any advice ? Thanks

But does stating this to a consular not give an incite that you are not willing to come home after the studies as you intend staying back and looking for a job and immigrate??

I think i will prefer the USA to Canada....Yes i am going with my family, because i am thinking that bringing them few months after departing will not be easy as it seems, because if she is coming she need to prove to the VO that she will be coming back, at the moment she does not have a job to use as a tie to her home country.. correct me if i am wrong,

You must NOT do or say anything during your interview to suggest that you are thinking of overstaying!
If during your study you gain a position, or offer, with a US company and they sponsor you then this is not an overstay.
Do NOT try to be over clever with the VO! Answer clearly and simply. ( bigfrancis21: is not correct.)
Do not try to outsmart them.
It will end in tears.

thumbs up to the owner of this thread and everyone that has been contributing, i congratulate those that their visa has been approved, this post is actually informative but i need advice on Msc admission requirements, i finished my degree late 2014 in mechanical engineering with a GPA of 3.8......i'm planning to apply for a school in Maryland cause my aunt nd her family ar there. pls i need advice on which skul is the best in maryland when it comes to engineering discipline and other necessary factors to be put into consideration in selecting the right skul to apply for.
What's ur prospective Msc in? Mech Engineering? University of Maryland has highly ranked engineering programs but you shouldn't restrict yourself to one state/region, in case you get more favorable admission outcomes in other schools/states.

Do not get complicated, just state that you have defered admission.
But only one week is very little time to get visa and ticket organised!
You may have to get your school to defere admission untill autumn.
Do not try travelling after the joining date that your school gave you, it risks rejection at P.O.E.

It's no big deal since your school has given you an extension of resumption date letter, & also you could cook up some stories just to fill in the blank.

He might be sound financially, so let him go for the interview.. If he's approved, he could get his visa after 4 days maximum.
