[size=28pt]Before you attempt any step, first root your phone[/size] Step 1: (Very important) ★Backup your android phone in your recovery mode and also use Titanium Backup or any other app of your choice(i prefer titanium backup) to backup all your android apps and data And also backup your Sdcard on your Pc Step 2: Change your stock recovery to Cwm recovery(Clockworkmod) .. You can get a tutorial on how to do that on Google and also videos on how to do that on YouTube When your through the steps above, you then proceed to step 3 Step 3: ★ In this step, what you'll be doing is to partition your Sdcard.... I'll advice you again to back it up on your pc cause it will format the Sdcard ★switch off your device and boot into recovery mode(volume up key+power button for Tecno ) ★in the cwm recovery mode, scroll down to Advanced option and click on it ★scroll down to partition SD card and select it, ★choose the partition size and click ok ★choose your swap size, 34 or 60mb is the best... ★click on ok and wait for it to finish... Step 4 ★(optional) I'll advice you to wipe your android phone data so that you start afresh cause it'll be the best and will increase your internal space ★after wiping data, reboot and complete all your settings... ★Go to the playstore and download link2sd.... Install and open it..... (Grant root access) ★when you open it, it'll ask you to choose your default memory, Select Ext3 ★it'll ask you to reboot, click on reboot and wait for it to complete... Step 5 (If you formated your device) : ★After reboot, open the Link2Sd and click options, go to settings and select Auto Link ★then install your titanium backup and go to batch options.... Select restore.... Choose the apps and click on ok,.... It'll install your apps and link2Sd will automatically link them to the Partition (If you didn't format your device ) ★Open your link2sd,select the application you want to link, click and hold on it and select Create link ★You can also activate auto link for applications to be linked automatically in the future that's it guys, its as easy as ABC... If it's helpful, you like, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask... Thanks for your time

Good post, OP. But there is a way to partition your SD card without booting to recovery using Aparted app downloadable on Google Play store. There is a thread discussing this fully on this Phone section so readers may search for it and get this done. I've done mine and currently enjoying an additional 2GB to my ROM. |
