A socio-cultural association and the umbrella body of Fulani
in Nigeria, the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has reiterated its
support for President Goodluck Jonathan in the forthcoming
2015 presidential election.
The association also voiced its readiness and commitment to
ensuring that Jonathan was re-elected in 2015.
The national chairman of the association, Alhaji Bello
Badejo, who spoke with newsmen in his office in Abuja
yesterday, affirmed the pledge of the association to sacrifice
its wealth and energy for him.
“Fulani will not rest until Jonathan wins the forthcoming
election. Let me assure you that we, (Fulani) pledge
allegiance to him. We will campaign for him from hut to hut
and hamlet to hamlet. We will do so because of his plans for
Fulani.
“All those people who are coming to tarnish our image are
not Fulani. We know them. It’s our constitutional right to
support Jonathan. As Nigerians, we have to openly show our
support to our president. We can’t create gap between him
and Fulani. We are Nigerians,” Badejo added.
He, therefore, charged Fulani to go out en-masse and collect
their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) because it was the only
tool that could be used to restore Jonathan in 2015.
“Let me tell you why we will vote for Jonathan, our people
really enjoy the present administration. No administration
gives us more priority than the current one. Our
organization’s patron, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed, is with Jonathan.
Therefore, nobody will deprive us from supporting him. We
will sacrifice our wealth and energy to campaign for him,” he
stressed.
