Buhari's Personal Economy Is Not Diversified. How Can He Diversify Nigeria's? by Nobody: 10:34pm On Jan 06, 2015
In his asset declaration, Buhari said that he has these assets: cash in the bank (at least N1 million), 150 cows, and three houses (Kaduna, Daura and Katsina). He owns no stocks or related financial instruments in this modern age. He could have chosen to own one house, and use the rest of his money to purchase other modern investments (stocks, bonds, CDs, mutual funds, etc), but he doesn't. Most middle income Nigerians do. Is it that he lacks understanding of modern assets, or that he doesn't trust Nigeria's economy which he is coming to manage? Which is it? Our economy may not be the best, but it is still OURS, and he contributed to what it is today because he ruled Nigeria 30 years ago. Monkey nor fine but him mama like am! angry If he does not trust Nigeria's economy, why should Nigerians trust him with their votes?

How can this man diversify Nigeria's economy away from crude oil? huh

when he ruled Nigeria, the nation's GDP in 1985 was not up to $10 billion. today it is above $500 billion.
the Nigerian stock market is above $30 billion, unlike when he ruled Nigeria in 1985 when it was less than $1 billion.
since he owns no modern financial instrument, can he understand the language of the CBN in these tough modern global times?

this thread is about Buhari and his understanding of modern economy.
like him or hate him, Jonathan has presided over a modern Nigerian economy.
under him the nation's economy grew to be the largest in Africa.
you cannot deny him his due credit.

You are right. Buhari is outdated for Nigeria. Its a pity even the educated elites are just cheering a bully without brain.
